Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 97

Cheryl's POV

I walked out of the room where Rose was being kept and went to one of the guards I had watching her.

"Make sure she doesn't try to do anything like sneak out," I said to one of the witches I had watching her. 

I went to find Chloe. Rose was trying to tell her the truth about everything that had happened. I had lied to Chloe and said to her that Joyce was the one that left her with Thunder Moon. Joyce and I are identical twins. The only difference was our eye color, and Chloe was only three when I gave her to this horrible Pack, so I was sure she didn't notice that back then.

I needed to keep her on my side. She's my daughter, and I do love her. I didn't know they would treat her that horribly. I thought they would make her the made but never thought they would beat her. I felt terrible about that, but I needed her to hate werewolves so that she would be on my side when the battle began.

I found Chloe in her room throwing things around. It was a mess, and I knew Rose's words got to her.

"Calm down, Chloe," I said

"Calm down? Did you hear the lies that little bitch was saying about you? Trying to blame you for what Joyce did," Chloe snarled.

"I know, Chloe. Joyce betrayed us all. She took you from me at birth and raised you for three years just to give you to this Pack. We will get our revenge on her and everyone else soon. But it would be best if you calmed down," I said. 

I knew I was lying. I gave her away to my sister because her father didn't want kids. He told me that if I kept her, he would leave me. He is dead now because he cheated on me with some human years ago. I burned him alive.

"We should kill that little bitch," She said

"I told you we need her right now. Don't let her get to you. They have been lying to her as well. Give her time to see the truth," I said

At first, I was going to kill Rose, like the rest of them. But then I decided to bring her to my side as well. She can help me kill Marcus, too, because he will try to take over the Realms if he lives.

The problem is she seems strong-willed, and I don't know if she will betray her family. She will have to die if I can't bring her to my side.

"There was a knock on the door, and I answered it to see the Pack Member from Blood Moon that I have spying on them. So I let her inside the house we were staying in.

"Did anyone see you enter the Pack Territory?" I asked

"No, I shifted and went through the woods. I thought there would be more warriors out, but there aren't," She said and sat on the couch next to Chloe. 

"Do you have any news on what they are doing?" I asked

"When I left, they were confused about how to find her. I don't think Derek has a clue on where she is,"

"Good, hopefully, they try to find her in another Realm," I replied

I was happy because that gave me time to convince her I was right about everything. I needed to figure out how to trick her into believing me and joining me in taking over.

"I need you to go back to Blood Moon and see what they are doing now. That way, if they figure it out, you can warn me," I said to the spy.

"Okay, I will go now,"

I opened the front door to walk away but was shocked at who was standing in front of me.

"What the hell are you doing here?"

Derek's POV

"Are you sure you are going the right way?" Jason asked

We had been following the compass for about twenty minutes, and he was getting frustrated. I was frustrated as well. I wanted my mate back in my arms and was worried about what Cheryl and Chloe were doing to her. Joyce said she would be weak when we found her, which scared me.

Finally, The compass was facing a house. It was one of the ordinary, small Pack Houses.

"It says that she is in there. I am about to get her," I said

"What if it's another trap?" Mark asked

"That's a chance I'm willing to take," I said and started walking toward the house. I was going to break the door down.

"Derek, let's have one of the Pack Members knock on the door to see if someone answers it." Aunt Lil said

"I will knock," I replied

"If they see that you are knocking, they won't answer the door if they are in there," Joyce said

"Fine, but I am going into that house to get my mate," I replied

One of the Pack Members from Thunder Moon went to knock on the door. Jason, Mark, and I stood behind them.

They were about to knock on the door, but someone came out before they could. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw who it was. She looked around, saw Jason, Mark, and me, and froze in surprise.

"What are you doing here?"
