Keith's POV

"Hey coach, you wanted to see me?" I asked

"Yes, come in my office," Coach Michell said

"I wanted to talk to you about missing the last two practices. Did you want to talk about anything?" Couch Michell asked after we sat down

"No, everything is fine now," I replied

"Look, I am sure you know that I know Ebony is your mate. I heard that you two have been having trouble, and if you would like to talk, I am here for you," Couch Michell said

"Thanks, couch, but everything is fine now. We talked yesterday, and I believe we agreed to give our relationship a try," I said

Couch Michell always cared for all students, not just the ones on the football team. If anyone needed to talk, he would be there.

"Okay, but I will say one thing. Make sure that you show Ebony how much you care for her always. You need to be patient with her because of the history you have with her," 

"I know; I told her that I was going to prove to her that I have changed, and that's what I plan to do," I said

I left Coach Michell's office and began to walk to class. I saw Derek walking my way, and I could tell he was not happy by the look he was giving me.

"I need to talk to you," Derek said

"What's up?" I asked confused

"Let's talk outside," Derek said, and we walked out to the parking lot.

"You need to put Sandy in check," Derek said

"What do you mean?" I asked confused

"She just pissed Ebony off, and Ebony jumped on her," Derek said

"What? IS Ebony okay?" I asked worriedly. If Sandy touched a hair on Ebony's body, she was dead. I didn't care if she wasn't a part of my Pack.

"Ebony's fine; she was beating Sandy up until two of your Pack Members came and pulled her off Sandy. The problem is that Ebony almost shifted into her wolf because Sandy pissed her off. You know what could happen if anyone found out about her wolf," Derek said 

"Yeah, I will take care of Sandy," I said

"And you might want to reassure Ebony that you don't want Sandy. I can tell she is worried you still have feelings for her because of her reaction. I have never seen Ebony that pissed off before. Not even when you bullied her," Derek said

"I will, man, thanks," I said

"And if you hurt Ebony again, I will kill you. Don't think I don't know what happened in the cafeteria with that she-wolf," Derek said, and I groaned.

"I know, and it's not what you think. I was trying to get Ebony's attention. But you won't have to worry about killing me if I hurt Ebony again. I will kill first," I said

Derek and I went back inside the school. He went to his class, but I decided that since the class was almost over, I would wait for Ebony in her class. I could see that she was deep in thought when she walked out of the classroom. When she noticed me, she looked at me, shocked.

"Keith," She said

"Hey, Love, how was class," 

"Fine, I thought we were going to meet up at my locker," She said 

"I decided to meet you at your classroom instead. You ready to go?" I asked, and she nodded

"Way to go, Ebony; Sandy totally deserved it," One of the Pack Members said as we walked to her locker. I looked over at Ebony and knew she was embarrassed by the blush on her face.

"What is he talking about?" I asked

"Nothing important," Ebony said as she placed her books in her locker.

The ride back to the Pack House was quiet at first. I could tell she was deep in thought, probably thinking about what had happened with Sandy.

"Ebony, are you okay?" I asked, breaking the silence

"Yeah," she said

I turned into a gas station and stopped the car; She looked at me, confused.

"We said we would give this relationship a chance, right?" I asked

"Right," She replied

"My parents taught me that one of the importing things for a couple to do in a relationship is to communicate," I said 

"Your right; Sandy and I got into a little altercation today,"

"A little altercation."

"Yeah, it was a fight. Sandy said some things about you and her that I didn't like. About the two of you being together," Ebony said nervously.

"You know that I don't want her in any way?" I asked

"I guess, I mean, the two of you have been together for a while. I wonder if you aren't with her only because we are mates. I wonder if you still have feelings for her," 

"No, Ebony, I don't have feelings for Sandy or anyone else but you. Sandy just wanted to get to you," I said, and she nodded. I knew she still was worried that I wanted Sandy.

I knew that I would have to put Sandy in her place. I would not let her cause any more problems between Ebony and me anymore.
