Keith's POV

"I don't know, but I received this letter," Jacob said and handed me a piece of paper. "It came earlier today," I looked at the letter, and it said.

"King Jacob

Your daughters are not safe,"  

"Where did you receive this letter from?" I asked

"It was in the mail. In this envelope, and these were also in there," King Jacob said. He handed me two pictures. One of them was of Alissa walking around the Royal Pack, and the other was of Ebony walking around at our school, Blood Moon High. It was one from before we found out that we were Mates.

"How could they get this picture of Ebony? They must have been watching her for a while,' I said  

"What I don't understand is who would have known that she was my daughter," 

"That is it. I am taking Ebony home," I said 

"No, you can't do that," King Jacob said 

"I am not going to put my Mates life in danger," I said

"She is my daughter, and I would never want her to be put in any danger. This picture wasn't even taken here. It was taken back where you live, so she will still be in danger even if you leave. She is safest here in the Castle like I told you before," King Jacob said, and I knew he was right. 

"Fine, but we need to make sure that nothing happens to her," I said, and then I heard a knock on the door. I opened it to see Alice standing there. 

"Hello, Jacob. What are you doing here?" Alice asked 

"I was about to ask Ebony if she has seen Alissa or you. Where were you?" King Jacob asked

"I had to meet with a Pack Member yesterday. Remember I told you that one of the younger females is pregnant, and she needed my help," Alice said. Something about the way she was talking didn't make me believe her. I felt she was lying, but I could tell King Jacob believed her every word.

"Hello," I heard Ebony say as she walked into the room. I quickly walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her, pulling her closer to me.

"Hello, Ebony. I came by to see if you knew where Alissa was," King Jacob said 

"I don't know. I spent the night with her last night, and then Alice came in and said she needed to talk to her. When I woke up, she still hadn't come back," Ebony said, and Jacob looked at Alice, who had a worried expression on her face.

"Yeah, I needed to talk to Alissa about something, but then the Pack Member called me, and I had to leave," Alice said 

"Well, I am going to take some Pack Warriors and Trackers to look for her. Did she tell you she was going to go somewhere before you left? To a friend's house, maybe," King Jacob said 

"No, I thought she was going back to her room," Alice said, and I could see the concern on King Jacob's face.

"Okay, I am going to look for her now," King Jacob said. 

"I am sure she is fine, Jacob. You know how she is sometimes. She is probably at a friend's house," Alice said 

"I don't think that she is at a friend's house," King Jacob said

"I will help you look for her," Ebony said 

"No, I think it is best for you to stay in the Castle, Love," I said, and she looked at me with a confused expression.

"Why," She asked

"Because you were just shot at, and the person that did it is still out there. We need to be careful because he could still be looking for you. I need to keep you safe," I said 

"Keith is right. It would be best if you stayed in the Castle until we find out who tried to kill you," King Jacob said

"I can't just stay locked up in this castle," Ebony said 

"It is the only way to keep you safe," I said

"Keith and I can still train you. I missed training you yesterday, but I had to take care of some Pack business. I promise I will help you figure out what your powers are," King Jacob said

'I am going to go now and look for Alissa," King Jacob said, and Alice and he headed to the elevator.

"Would you like some help looking?" I asked

"Not today. I think it would be best for you to stay with Ebony," He said and looked at me with a knowing look.

"You're right. Tell me if you need any help," I said, and they left. I knew that I needed to stay by Ebony's side and keep her safe, especially now that I knew that someone had been following her before we even knew who her father was. That must mean that someone else had already known that Ebony was the future Queen. I turned to see Ebony looking at me.

"Is there something that you aren't telling me, Keith?"
