Ebony's POV

"I can't believe you would make a video for all of the werewolves to see without consulting us first," One of the Royal Council Members said. Keith and I were sitting in his office with three Royal Council Members. 

"We thought it would be a good idea to let the community know who I am. Queen Alice already told everyone that my mom was an Omega. She told them that I wouldn't make a good Queen because of who my mother is. It's better for everyone to hear my life story from me personally. That way, they can make their mind up on their own about who I am instead of believing what Alice has to say about me," I said.

"You didn't only tell them your life story. You also made promises to change the way things are run. You can't go around making promises you can't keep."

"But I do plan on keeping them. There are a lot of changes that I feel need to be made. ," I said, and the Council members stared at me with shocked expressions.

"Why would you want to change the way things are done? It has been this way forever, and everything seems to be running smoothly."

"I agree. There is no reason to change anything."

"I disagree. I don't believe things are running smoothly. At least not for wolves that are not higher ranking," I said.

"And how do you know that?" One of the Royal Members asked.

"I know because I was a lower-rank wolf. I wasn't treated fairly by the other wolves of higher ranks and didn't have the same opportunities as they did," I replied. 

"That doesn't mean all the lower-rank wolves live in bad neighborhoods and don't have good opportunities. You haven't seen every Pack and how they are run." One of the Royal Council Members said

"I am pretty sure they are all run the same. One thing I have learned is that if you are a lower-rank werewolf, you are treated unfairly. No matter if they are grown or a pup. But I do plan on visiting all of the Pack soon to see for myself." I replied.

"This is ridiculous. Where is King Jacob? Clearly, he is not okay with this." One of the Council Members asked.

"He is out looking for Princess Alissa. But to answer your question, he knew I was creating a video. I also told him there were changes I wanted to make, and he told me that's a good idea," I replied. Then, one of the Royal Council Members turned to look at Keith.

"And how do you feel about your Mate wanting to change things for the werewolf community? Are you okay with this?"

"Yes, I believe my Mate is right. We have needed change for a long time," Keith replied.

"Well, I guess we can't change your mind. I think it is time for us to leave." I wanted to say yes, please leave and go back to the Royal Council headquarters or wherever it is you guys come from. But I knew he didn't mean they were going to leave the Silvermoon Pack. He meant to leave the Packhouse and go back to the Hotel. I was sure they weren't going to stop watching me for a long time. Especially now that I had said, I planned on changing werewolf laws and making them better for lower Rank wolves. 

The Royal Council Members stood from their seats and headed out of Keith's office. One of them stopped walking and looked at me. "Please think about what you are planning to do. The werewolf community doesn't need anything to be changed," He said.

Keith and I sat quietly, watching him. I was sure he could tell I wasn't going to change my mind. Finally, the Council Member sighed and walked out of the room.

"They didn't seem happy with what you told them we were planning to do," I said

"No. They are definitely not happy. I think we need to watch them. I believe Abby is right, and they are most likely going to turn on us now that you plan on changing things around."

Royal Council 

The Royal Council was very upset when they found out Princess Ebony planned to change the werewolf community. Princess Ebony and her Mate planned on changing laws that had been placed for generations. 

"Who does Princess Ebony think she is? She can't just go around changing our laws. She would still be seen as an Omega if it wasn't for us." The three Royal Council Members were trying to figure out how to take care of the situation Princess Ebony had put them in.

"You know she has been the cause of many of our problems. We never had so much bad publicity until she came into the picture."

"I agree. Everything was running smoothly until Princess Ebony was found. She is why many werewolves began to complain about how King Jacob and Queen Alice ran everything. No one had anything to say until she showed up. I think we made a mistake in choosing Princess Ebony to become Queen. Maybe Queen Alice is right, and Alissa should become Queen?" One of the Royal Council Members replied.

"I don't see how that is even possible. Ebony is King Jacob's firstborn. She is the one with the Whitewolf and all of the special abilities. She is the true Queen," One of the Royal Council Members replied.

"Ebony is a weak Omega. She doesn't even know how to use her abilities correctly. Princess  Alissa has been working her whole life to become Queen."

"Are you saying we should change sides and join Queen Alice?"

"Yes, We can't let Princess Ebony go around changing everything. What is to say she won't get rid of us? She may feel she doesn't need the Royal Council and take our title away." 

"But the Queen is on the run, and most of the community hates her for what she did to the Pack Members in the Royal Pack."

"I guess we need to change that,"
