Derek's POV

"Of course, you would come in here," Landon said, rolling his eyes

I walked into the room I told the guards to take him to. He was sitting with his hands handcuffed to the table

"We need to talk," I said

"I have nothing to say to you. If you are going to kill me, get it over with," He growled.

"I should kill you after what you tried to do to me and my mate," I growled back.

"I wasn't going to hurt your mate. I just wanted to hurt you," He said

"Is that why you were working with Chloe? Not to hurt my mate?" I asked

"I only wanted to hurt you because of what you tried to do to Vivian," He said

"I didn't do anything to Vivian. You have known me all my life, and you know I would never hurt a woman or force them to do anything," I said

"Vivian wouldn't lie to me," He said

"I have something to show you," I said and turned the tv on. 

"What is that?" Landon asked

"It is the security camera that my dad has in his office. You would have seen it earlier like everyone else if you weren't planning to hurt me with Chloe," I said and turned the tape on.

Landon looked over at the tape. As it was going, his face turned from angry to confused. Then he looked angry and sad. I knew It was a lot to take in. It is a lot to find out that your mate lied to you.

"Landon, if you were anyone else, I would throw you in the cell and punish you, but you are one of my best friends, and I know that Vivian played you. So I won't banish you, but as one of your punishments for your actions, you will not be able to be my Gamma. The Pack doesn't trust you after you brought Chloe here," I told him.

He didn't say anything for a while. I just sat there deep in thought. 

"I am going to leave the Pack," Landon said

"Landon, you don't have to do that. I know how Vivian is, and she is vindictive," I said

"I can't stay here anymore after what has happened. After what I made happen," He said I was about to say something, but he stopped me.

"I need to go," He said

"Okay, but you can come back and talk whenever you are ready," I said

"I know you have to punish me before I leave," He said 

"I can't just let you get away with almost getting my mate hurt," I said truthfully

"It's okay; punish me, and then I will be leaving," He said, and I nodded. I left the room and went back to where my family was. 

As soon as Rose saw me, she came over to me. I put my arms around her, bringing her close to me. I can't believe I could have lost her today. I went over to a chair and sat her on my lap, and placed my head in the crock of her neck to inhale her scent.

"How did it go?" My father asked

"I showed him the tape. Let's just say he is shocked and heartbroken," I said

Jace walked into the room suddenly.

"Derek, I need to tell you all something. I am worried that Vivian will come back and try to hurt Rose," He said

"I doubt she will try to come back here. That would be a death sentence," Aunt Lil said

"You don't know my sister. She doesn't care if anyone threatens her. She isn't scared of anyone," Jace said, and I looked at him.

"We know your sister only cares about herself," Kate said

"No, you don't understand. When we were younger, my mom took her to see a specialist because of her attitude toward others. When she came back, my father and mom argued about what they told her," He said

"What did they say?" My father asked

"They said that she showed signs of being a psychopath," Jace said

"What?" My mom asked

"You remember how she used to act. She never cared about taking risks and her anger when she didn't get her way. My mom told my father what she was told, and he told her that nothing was wrong with Vivian. He said that she was just young and acting out. But she never changed. I watched her all our lives and knew that what they said had to be true," Jace said

I started thinking about how Vivian always acted. She never worried about taking a chance. She would go crazy if she didn't get her way. I remember one time she cut her hand deep when I was mad at her. I thought she might have done it on purpose for a moment but then thought only a crazy person would do that. Now I was wondering if I was right and if she intentionally hurt herself. I looked over at Jace, shocked.

"Why didn't you ever tell me," I asked

"Because she is still my sister. But now I think you need to watch out. I know she is up to something and will come back soon; she isn't right in the head," He said 

"We need to talk to your father," I said

"Okay, I will get him," Jace said and walked away

I kissed Rose on the lips. Nobody was going to hurt my Flower.
