Jacob's POV

Why would Derek want Landon to guard Vivian? I need to keep her away from him. I can't let him ruin everything by trying to claim her. 

Right now, I am making tea. I took out the potion the witch gave me years ago and put some in one of the cups. I knew I would need to give her extra since Landon and Vivian had come into contact. So I usually gave it to her early morning when she first woke up.

Some may think I am a horrible father, but I am trying to get back what my family worked to build. That is the Blue Moon Pack. This is our pack, not Derek's and his father's.

Vivian is the only one that can get back what is rightfully ours. She can't be mated to that Gamma. He isn't worthy of her anyway,

I nodded to the pack warrior guarding my daughter's door and went inside. I could see that Vivian was deep in thought.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked her

"Nothing," She said, and I knew she was lying

"Here, this should make you feel better," I said, handing her the cup of tea.

"It takes bland," She said 

"It's good for you. Go ahead and drink it," I said

She picked up the cup and took a sip. She didn't need to drink it all, just some. The potion will make her not feel the mate bond fully with Landon. It wouldn't make the bond go away entirely but weaken the feeling.

That is why I send Vivian away to stay with the witches. I told everyone that she was at Silver Moon Pack for safety.

The witches told me they would have to use wolfbane on her and some other things that could be painful to keep the bond weak, but I knew it was for the best. 

I told her that Landon was trying to trick her into thinking he was her mate. I knew she didn't believe me. That is why she had to stay with the witches. 

"Landon will be guarding you because Derek had arranged it. I was hoping you could stay as far away from him as possible. I will be with you as much as possible to help you with this," I said, and she nodded.

"We still need to stick with the plan. You need to show Derek that he is your mate. Rose is gone now, which means you should be able to win him back. I am counting on you to show him the truth, and that is that you two are fated to be together," I said to her.

"I don't know if we are father," She said

"What did you say," I asked angrily

"I don't know if Derek and I are mates. It doesn't seem like we are. When I was around Landon, I could feel tingles all over my body. I feel a connection to him, and maybe you are wrong about Derek and me being mates," She said

"I am not wrong, Vivian, and what you say is nonsense. Landon is trying to trick you into being with him, just like that witch did with Derek," I said

She was about to speak, but I cut her off.

"Maybe you need to go back to the castle," I threatened her

"No, father, you are right. I don't know what came over me," She said nervously

"I know. Just make sure you show Derek the truth," I said 

"I will, I promise," She said

"Good! All you need to do is show him that you two are meant to be together. I am sure you will do anything he wants you to satisfy his every need," I said, and then there was a knock on the door.

Jace and Landon walked into the room.

"Hey, Vivan and dad," Jace said

"Hey son, what up," I asked

"I just thought I would hang out with Landon and Vivian for a while since Derek has assigned him to watch Vivian," Jace said

I was happy that Jace decided to hand it to Vivian and Landon. That way, they wouldn't have time to get close.

"I think that's a good idea, son. You and your sister don't spend enough time together anyway." I said

"What is that," Landon asked as Vivian took a sip of the tea I had brought her.

"It is my dad's special tea," She said

"I didn't know you had a special tea, dad. Can I try some?" Jace asked.

Vivian was about to give him the cup, but I grabbed it before he could.

"That one is cold. I will make you some later," I said

Jace looked at me for a moment and then nodded.

"I am going to check on your mother; I will see the two of you later," I said to Jace and Vivian.

"Alright, dad, bye," Jace said

I exited the room with the cup of tea in my hand.
