Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 11

Rose's POV

"Hi, mom," I said while walking into her room.

"Hi baby, how was your date?"

" You would really be okay if I dated him?"

" Yes, He cares about you; I can see it."

"He barely knows me, mom."

" I know, but trust me when I say he cares deeply for you."

We talked for a minute longer, and then I headed to my room to change before meeting Derek by the pool.

I made my way down about twenty minutes later.

When I got to the backyard by the pool, I was shocked at what I had seen.

Derek and Vivian were kissing. I couldn't take the sight of his lips on hers, and I ran away.

I saw my brother Jason walking toward the backyard.

"Rose, where are you going? What's wrong?" He asked as I ran past him.

I ran until I saw a trail that went to the woods.

I went into the woods and started walking until I saw a wooden bench.

I sat on the bench, wondering how Derek could kiss another girl right after our date. He even asked me to meet him there.

"I should have known better than to fall for him and his lies. I knew he was a playboy. They are probably fucking right now," I thought to myself.

Just thinking of him fucking her made me feel a pain in my chest. It felt like the first time I met him. It hurt so bad that my vision started to get blurry, and the next thing I knew, I saw blackness.

Jason's POV

"How were your tryouts today?" I asked James as I pulled the car into the driveway.

"They were good. I'm sure I made the team." He said.

Once I parked the car, James ran outside to where his friends were.

I was so happy that he made friends quick.

When my mom told me we were moving to a packhouse, I was worried that the pack wouldn't like Rose or James because they may never get a wolf. I'm glad I was wrong.

When I was close to the backyard, I saw Rose run past me, crying.

"Rose, where are you going? What's wrong?" I asked worriedly.

I heard arguing coming from the backyard.

"Why would you do that, Vivian?" I saw Derek ask as I made my way to the backyard.

"Don't act like you didn't like it, Derek! You kissed me back."The girl Vivian said.

"No, I didn't; you are crazy! You caught me off guard. I pulled away from you," Derek responded.

"What going on?" I asked, looking straight at Derek.

"None of your business!" Vivian said.

"It is my business because my sister is involved."

"Whose, your sister?" She asked annoyed

"My mate is his sister," Derek said.

"Well, he wasn't thinking about your sister when he was kissing me."

"I didn't kiss you; you kissed me. I don't have time for your games. Rose will be down here any minute, and you need to leave Vivian. You're disrespecting your future, Luna."

She looked so upset with what he had just said. Like she could kill someone.

"She is not my future," She started but was cut off by Derek.

"You better think twice before finishing that sentence," he said in his Alpha voice, making her flinch back.

"Leave!" He finished, and she ran away.

"I promise I didn't kiss her back." he pleaded.

I could tell he was telling the truth by his actions.

"I know! I can tell you were pissed.

"I'm just happy Rose didn't see. she should be here by now." He said, making me remember her running away.

"I think she saw you two. When I arrived, she ran passed me." 

"I need to find her. She probably thinks I meant to kiss her."

Just then, the smell of Vanilla and honey hit me. I never smelled anything like it. It was the most intoxicating scent ever.

" You. seen Vivian?" A girl asked

"Yes, Sandy she..." Derek started but was cut off

"Mate," The beautiful girl and I said simultaneously.

She had short blond hair and was about 5 ft 5. she had a skinny waist with b-size breasts. Not too big, but perfect for me to cup in my hand.

I walked over to her and couldn't help but hug her. Sparks flew everywhere.

I placed my face in the crock of her neck

"What's your name, beautiful?" I asked

"Cindy"

"You want to go and talk?" I asked her, and she nodded.

"See you later, Sandy," She said, and we walked away hand in hand to my room.

Derek's POV

I stood there shocked. I'm pretty sure my mouth was wide open.

Sandy looked just as shocked as I was.

Cindy was my mate's brother's mate; if he didn't like me before, he would hate me now if he ever found out what she and I used to do.

I didn't have time to think about that now. I had to go and find my mate.

I ran past Sandy, still looking shocked, and went to find my mate.

I started sniffing the air to see if I could track her.

I wasn't the best tracker, but it's easy to track your mate.

After about ten minutes, her scent took me to a trail in the woods. I started walking and, shortly after, saw my mate lying on the ground, passed out.

I picked her up and hurried to the pack hospital.

I mind-linked Sally and let her know we were on our way. She told me a room would be ready for her once we arrived.

It didn't take more than five minutes, and I made it there.

"What happened, Derek?" Sally asked

"She saw Vivian and me kissing," I said

She looked pissed at me.

"I didn't kiss her. She caught me off guard and kissed me; it took me a few seconds to react. Rose must not have seen me push her away." I told her

"Well, she will be okay physically, but if she keeps seeing you in intimate positions with other females, it will hurt her emotionally. Humans feel the mate bond to Derek."

"I know. I have to fix this. I don't want Rose in any pain. I love her." I said and meant it.

"Well, you need to make this right. If you want my advice, I would make sure all the she-wolves you slept with know you are not interested in them anymore. They will have consequences if they keep making moves on you. They also need to know that there will be consequences for messing with our future Luna. She needs to be respected by everyone. Even jealous exes like Vivian." Sally said.

I nodded in agreement. I must not have been clear enough, but that was about to change.
