Ebony's POV

"Are you okay, My Love?" Keith asked. We were on the private jet to the Silvermoon Pack. I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened at the Royal Palace.

"I am fine," I said 

"I can tell you are not fine. I know you are thinking about what happened today," Keith replied

"I can't help but think about what Alice did. I know she started all that on purpose to get rid of me. I can't believe Jacob would be okay with her disrespecting me like that," I replied

"I understand why you are upset, but you have to understand that they are Mates. That is why he can't see what everyone else can," Keith said. 

"I guess, but it's not right. He should still know that she was wrong, but instead, he wanted me to apologize for telling her the truth about herself," I said, and Keith pulled me close to him. 

"I am sure he feels bad about how he talked to you. I bet he will be calling to apologize when he realizes you left," Keith said 

At the Palace

Jacob's POV

"Hey, dad, what are you doing," Alissa asked as she walked into my office.

"Just thinking," I said 

'About what happened earlier," She asked. 

"Yes," I replied. I couldn't believe Ebony and Alice had gotten into it while we were having dinner. Everything had been going great, and then this happened. I shouldn't have gone off on Ebony the way that I did. Now that I think about it, I know that Alice shouldn't have been talking about her mom. She might not be a good person, but she is still Ebony's mom.

"Ebony is really upset about what happened. After you and mom left, she told Keith she was ready to go home. I think they are about to leave if they haven't already," Alissa said 

"What? I have to stop her. That is not what I want," I said. I knew that I needed to go and talk to Ebony and apologize for how Alice and I reacted today. I also need to talk to Alice about apologizing as well because she was the one that caused the problem in the first place. I know she hates thinking about the past and what Thomas did to her, but she didn't have to take it out on Ebony. 

As soon as Alissa and I walked out of my office, I heard someone crying. I knew that it was Alice, so I ran to where she was.

"Alice, are you okay?" I asked as I looked at my crying Mate. A frown made its way to my face when I saw the bruise on her face. "What happened to your face?" I growled

"Ebony hit me," She said 

'What," I asked, shocked.

"When I found out she was about to leave, I went up to her floor to apologize. When I went into her room, she was breaking everything in there. When I tried to calm her down and apologize, she told me she didn't care about my apology and never wanted to see any of us again. I tried pleading with her to stay because I knew you would be sad if she left, and she slapped me. Then she told me that I deserved what Thomas did to me, and she wished he would have killed me, then her mom would have been with you. Then she and Keith left," 

"Why would she do that?" Alissa asked 

"I don't know. I told you she doesn't like me," Alice said. I felt so bad for Alice and angry at Ebony. Why would she hit Alice as she did?

"I am going to call her and see what she was thinking," I said

"No, I think we should just leave her alone. She said she doesn't want anything to do with us, and I think we should respect her decision," Alice said

"The floor is completely destroyed, your Highness,"  One of Alice's guards said 

'Where were you when Ebony hit her?" I asked

"I told them that I wanted to talk to her alone. I never thought she would do anything like that, considering we are supposed to be family. Don't be mad at them," Alice said. I closed my eyes, trying to control my temper. Maybe Ebony really didn't want anything to do with me. I guess I can't make her want to be a part of my life. I pulled Alice close to me and inhaled her intoxicating scent. 

"I am sorry this happened to you, My Love," I whispered in her ear.

"It is okay. Maybe it is time to realize that Eboy doesn't want this type of life and let Alissa become Queen," Alice said 

"Maybe you are right,"
