Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 101

Derek's POV

I couldn't believe what had happened. Rose had turned into a beautiful wolf. Her wolf was different than any I have ever seen. She had all-white fur with a gold five-star pentagram symbol on her cheek. It was odd because the pentagram is a witch symbol. I have never seen a wolf with anything like it. Her eyes were green, just like when she used her magic. However, the fur around her eyes was black.

I was so caught up in Rose's wolf that I didn't notice when Vivian shifted into her black wolf with silver patches by her ear. Rose's wolf was slightly taller than Vivian's. she lunged at Rose, but Rose's wolf dodged Vivian, causing her to fall to the ground. 

 Vivian got up and lunged at Rose again. I was about to shift and stop her, but Rose dodge her again and bit Vivian's neck, and sent her flying into the wall. Vivian was hurt so bad that it caused her to shift back into her human form. Unfortunately, she was bleeding a lot, and if she had been human, she would have died from the blood loss.

"Take her back to her cell," I said to the Pack Warriors, and they picked Vivian up and took her back to her cell. Someone had to have let Vivian out of her cell. I would have to figure that out later. Right now, I need to focus on Rose.

I turned to where Rose was, still in her wolf form. I walked over to her and caressed her fur. She purred in satisfaction from my touch.

"You are so beautiful. You need to shift back," I said, and she looked at me in confusion. 

I wish we could mind-link each other, but we couldn't. There were only two ways to mind-link someone. One would be becoming a part of the pack, then you would be able to mind-link anyone from your pack as long as you weren't too far away. The other is the mate-link. Once mates mark each other, they have their own personal mind-link. It doesn't matter how far away they are from each other to use it.

"Just think about being in your human form," I said

A few seconds later, she was back in her human form. She looked at me and then fell to the ground. 

"Are you okay?" I asked as I leaned down beside her. 

"I feel dizzy," Rose replied

" I am going to mind-link Sally," I said, picked her up bridal style, and carried her back to our bed.

I mind-linked Sally telling her that Rose shifted and was now feeling dizzy. Sally said that she was on her way and that I needed to watch Rose and make sure that she didn't lose consciousness. She arrived about ten minutes later.

"How are you feeling, Rose? I heard you had your first shift today," Sally said

"I feel a little dizzy. It isn't as bad as earlier," Rose replied

Aunt Lil, Kate, and my mom walked into our room while Sally checked Rose's Vitals. 

"Are you okay, sweetie?" Aunt Lil asked as she came inside

"I am fine, mom. Just a little dizzy," Rose Replied

"Why did she shift? I thought the potion you were giving every day to make sure she wouldn't shift until the babies were born," I asked Aunt Lil

"I don't know," Aunt Lil replied,"

"It is because the IV I gave her yesterday cleaned out her system, causing her to shift into her wolf," Sally said as she checked the twin's heartbeats.

"Everything seems to be fine. I would like to do an ultrasound to make sure there is nothing I am missing, but you would need to come to my office for that," Sally said

"That would be fine," I said and picked Rose up bridal style.

We made our way to Sally's office. Our moms and Kate came with us. Sally did the ultrasound and told us that everything was alright.

"It is important that you not shift again while pregnant because it could harm your babies. Also, make sure that she gets a lot of rest for the next week. Her body went through a lot yesterday. We are lucky there was no long-term effect," Sally said

"I will make sure that she gets a lot of rest," I replied

"We will have to get the potion into your system again to make sure that you don't shift anymore while pregnant. Derek, take Rose back to your room, and I will come with the potion, " Aunt Lil said

"Okay," I said, carrying Rose out of Sally's office.

Once we returned home, I placed Rose on the bed. Kate and my mom said that they would check on her later.

"Are you feeling okay?" I asked

"I am fine, just tired. The dizziness is gone now," She replied

"It is normal to feel tired after your first shift," I told her

There was a knock on the door, and I went to get it. Aunt Lil was standing there with the potion in her hand. We walked into Rose and my room.

"Here, sweetie, take this," Aunt Lil said, and Rose drank the potion. 

"I can't believe you shifted today, and I missed it," Aunt Lil said

"It was weird, mom. I was so angry at Vivian for coming into our room that I began having a headache, and then I started feeling a horrible pain that I had never felt before. It was like all my bones were breaking, but once it was done, I felt amazing," Rose said

"What does her wolf look like," Aunt LIL asked me

"Her fur is all-white with black around the ears and green eyes. She is beautiful and different. I have never seen a wolf like her," I said

"What do you mean?" Aunt Lil asked

"Her wolf's fur has a five-star pentagram symbol on her right cheek that is gold," I said

"That is weird; I have never seen a wolf with a witch symbol on them." Aunt Lil said

"Is something wrong with me?" Rose asked worriedly

"Of course not, Flower. It is just different," I said reassuringly.

There was another knock at the door.

"I will get it," I said and went to answer the door.

"Hey, is my mom here," Jason asked.

"Yes, she is in the room with Rose. Come in," I said, and we went into the room.

"Mom, I need to talk to you," Jason said and then looked at Rose

"Hey Jason," Rose said.

"Hey, are you feeling okay? You look tired," Jason asked, concerned

"I am fine, but I ended up shifting today," 

"You shifted; that is amazing. Wait, are the babies alright?" Jason asked

"They are fine. The potion she has been taking to not shift left her system because of the IV Sally gave her last night. She just took it now, so she shouldn't shift again until the babies are born," Aunt Lil said

"That's good," Jason said

"What did you want to talk to me about," Aunt Lil asked 

Jason stood silent for a moment like he was deep in thought

"It's nothing; I will talk to you later," He replied

"Are you sure?" Aunt Lil asked

"Yeah, mom. Rose needs us now, so we can talk later," He said and sat next to Rose.

I knew something was bothering him.
