Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 245

Keith's POV

I lay in the bed with my Mate, watching her sleep. I looked at her back and could still see a few marks on her back. All the drugs Alice gave her made it take longer for her bruises to heal. Luckily soon, there will no longer be any on her. I would love her even if the bruises didn't heal. She would always be the only woman for me. I am happy she won't have them on her as a memory of what was done to her. I can't help but think about what could have happened to her. Alice could have taken my Mate away from me forever. I know I wouldn't be able to live without her. I would die if Ebony died. 

Once I was sure Ebony wouldn't wake up, I began to mind-link with my Beta and best friend, Mark. He finally returned home from a Pack that needed our help. "Hey Mark, I know you just made it home, but I need you to make sure Alissa doesn't get out of her room. I don't know what warriors we can trust," I told him through mind-link.

"OF course, Keith. How is Ebony doing anyway," Mark asked.

"She is fine. She is a little shaken up about what happened to her, but she is doing good. She doesn't want to be left in the hospital alone, and I don't want to leave her," I replied

"I understand. I will keep an eye on the Princess. Make sure she doesn't sneak out again. Tell Ebony I am happy she is okay," Mark said

"I will. Thank you, Mark," I said, and we ended the link. 

"No. No, please." I looked at Ebony to see her tossing and turning in her sleep. I realized from what she was saying she must have been having a nightmare. I knew she had to be having them because of what she went through while being kidnapped. 

"I went over to the bed and got back into it with her. I pulled her close, and she automatically put her head on my chest and wrapped her hands around me. I placed the covers over both of us and pulled her closer to me. "I promise no one will ever hurt you again, My Love," I whispered. I closed my eyes and fell asleep soon after, holding my Mate tightly to me protectively.

Ebony's POV

"Ebony, we are so happy you are finally home," Nancy said as she hugged me. 

"I am happy to be home, too," I replied. I had to stay in the hospital for almost two days. They didn't let me go until later the day after I arrived because they wanted to ensure they didn't miss anything. I was sure Keith threatening them had something to do with them being so thorough. I would have kept my patient in longer, too, if I was the Doctor and someone had threatened to rip my heart out if they missed anything. 

"There is someone that woudl like to talk to you two," Nancy said, and I looked to see Abby sitting in the living room.

"Hello, Ebony. I am happy you are okay," Abby said 

"Thank you," I replied

"Abby, I told you I would call you once Ebony was better," Keith growled.

"It's okay. I have been wanting to talk to her, "I replied, and Keith looked at me for a moment before shaking his head. "Keith told me you knew he would come to your house to ask for your help. He also said that you knew a long time ago that he and I would become King and Queen,"  I said

"Yes. I have known since Alpha Keith was three years old that he would become King and that you would be his Mate and become Queen."

"How did you know all of that?" I asked

"I had a vision which showed me that you would become Queen. I have been watching over the two of you ever since. I know how cruel he was to you before he found out that you were his Mate," Abby said 

"Wait, you watched us?" Keith asked

"Yes, I did. You have no idea how many times I wanted to hit you upside the head for the way you were treating your Mate. But I knew I had to let everything play out the way it was supposed to. If I didn't, I could mess up the future. I am sorry I couldn't tell you about the kidnapping in advance," Abby said. 

"Wait a minute. You knew my Mate was going to be kidnapped?" Keith asked.

"Yes, I did."

"Then why the hell didn't you say anything?" Keith growled. I could tell he was becoming pissed off and looked like he was ready to hurt Abby. I placed my hand over his, and he looked at me.

"She couldn't tell us, or she could have messed up the future," I said.

"That is correct. If I had interfered in anything before you asked for my help, I could have made what happened worse. Now, we need to make sure that Queen Alice and her followers don't win," Abby said 

"Win what?" I asked

"Alice plans on convincing everyone that you are not fit to be Queen. She plans on making them believe that Alissa will be a better Queen than you. We can't let that happen because if it does, most Werewolves will lose their lives," Abby said.

"I thought you said that you have seen that Ebony and I are the King and Queen. Doesn't that mean Alice fails in convincing everyone that Alissa will be a better Queen?" Keith asked. 

"I have seen two futures. One where you two Rule, and everything is better than it has ever been before. The other future is where Alissa becomes Queen, and the war between Werewolves and the other supernatural creatures starts and ends with the death of most wolves," Abby replied.

"How does she become Queen?" I asked

"You die."
