Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 249

"Jacob's POV

"Alissa, you need to eat your food, or you will get sick," I said as I walked into my daughter's room. She was lying on her side on the bed, looking at the wall. I hated seeing her so sad and depressed. I couldn't believe she would hurt Ebony. She had always told me how much she wanted to meet her older sister when she was younger. I know Alice is the one that made Alissa help her kidnap Ebony. My sweet, little Princess would never do anything like that on her own.

"I am not hungry," She said.

"If you don't eat, you can get sick," I replied.

"It's not like you care. All you care about is Ebony now. You got your oldest child back and didn't need me anymore," Alissa replied.

"That is not true. I love both of you the same. How could you say that when I have been there for you your whole life? I have always treated you like my daughter," I said.

"Yeah, until Ebony came along. Since then, you have treated me like I am nothing to you," Alissa replied

"You know that is not true."

"Then why am I locked in this room with guards guarding me?" Alissa asked

"Because what you did to Ebony was wrong. If you were anyone else, you would have been locked up in a cell, but because you are my daughter and her sister, she and I wouldn't let them do that to you," I replied

"I am sure Ebony has nothing to do with why I am not locked in a cell. I bet you had to beg her not to kill me," Alissa replied

"That is not true, Alissa. Ebony was the first one that told the guards not to lock you up in a cell. She doesn't want anything bad to happen to you, even after what you did to her. You should be thanking her, not talking about her like she doesn't care for you because it is obvious that she does," I replied, trying to stay calm. I was getting upset because of Alissa's attitude. I didn't understand how she didn't understand that both Ebony and I were trying to help her and how we didn't want anything wrong happening to her.

"Then why are the guards on the other side of the door?" Alissa asked

"Because I can't trust you not to try to do anything to your sister again, And I don't know where your mother is. She might try to come for you," I replied

"Maybe you should just let me leave. I know you don't want me here," Alissa said, causing me to sigh. She wasn't listening to anything I was trying to tell her.

"Yes, I do want you here. I have to go and will be back in a few hours. I will check on you later," I said and got up to leave her room.

"Go ahead. I am sure your favorite daughter needs your help to become Queen. Something I would have been becoming if you didn't cheat on my mom and get pregnant with Ebony," Alissa said. I turned around and looked at her. Did she really believe I cheated on her mother?

"You know that I never cheated on your mother, Alissa. Ebony's mother got pregnant before I met your mother and learned that she was my mate. Once I did, I stopped seeing Ebony's mother. You know this," I replied

"That is not what mom said. She said you were cheating on her, and that is why she is upset about Ebony," Alissa replied

"You and I both know that your mother is a good liar. Don't listen to everything she says. I have to go. Please eat your food," I said and walked out of the door. I walked passed the guards that were guarding Alissa's door. Keith and I decided it would be best to let his men watch her because I didn't know which of mine were on Alice's side.

"King Jacob." I turned around and saw Alistar walking toward me.

"Alistar, how are you doing today?" I asked. He was one of the members of the Royal Pack that I trusted fully. He was an older man and had been a warrior for the Pack many years ago.

"I am fine, and how are you? You have been going through a lot lately," Alistar said.

"I am doing fine," I replied

"Really. How is Princess Alissa doing? I know it has been hard with her."

"She is still upset about everything. I know she didn't mean to do any of the things she has done. Alissa has always wanted her mother's love and approval. I know this is all Alice's doing," I replied.

"Have you tried talking to her?" Alistar asked

"Yes, But every time I do, she tells me I don't care about her anymore. She won't listen to me when I tell her that I do care. I don't know what else to say to her. She won't even eat,"  I replied. I felt helpless when it came to Alissa. I didn't want her to think I didn't love her because I did and always would.

"How about I give it a shot and talk to her? She might open up to me and tell me what is really bothering her."

"You would do that for me?" I asked

"Of course, I would, My King," Alistar said with a smile on his face.

"Sure. I will let the guards know that you are going to talk to her," I replied and went to let the guards know that Alistar was going to talk to Alissa.

"Thank you so much."

"Of course. My King," Alistar said and walked into the room. He and Alissa had always gotten along, so I knew it would be good for them to talk to each other. I left the room and went looking for Ebony. We were supposed to train in an hour and wanted to speak to her about Alissa. I hoped she would help me make Alissa understand that her mother was a liar and deceiver.

I walked around the Pack House, and they were nowhere in sight. So then, I walked around the Pack Territory. I soon walked toward the fighting field and saw a group of werewolves sitting. I walked over to see what was happening and saw Keith and Ebony. I was shocked when I heard one of the Werewolves ask Ebony if there were other White Wolves. She wouldn't tell anyone about us, would she?

"That the hell is going on?" I asked as I began to walk over to where She and Keith were standing.
