Ebony's POV

I woke up feeling warm all over my body. I snuggled more into my pillow, pulling it as close as possible to me, and then I heard a chuckle. I realized my head wasn't on a pillow, but on someone's hard chest. From the sparks that went through my body, I didn't need to open my eyes to see whose body it was.

Opening my eyes confirmed that it was none other than Keith's chest I was lying on. Not only that, but my whole body was covering his. I removed myself from him quickly from the realization. 

"I am sorry," I said; I knew my cheeks were redder than ever.

Keith sat up and put his hand on my cheek, caressing it tenderly. I couldn't help but close my eyes from the feeling. I opened my eyes and looked at Keith to see him smiling at me.

"I liked the feel of you sleeping on top of me," he said, making my cheeks even redder.

"Stop it," I said, and he chuckled. 

"I am sorry beautiful," 

"We need to get ready for school," I said

"Yes, we do. Your choir performance is tonight," Keith asked.

"Yes, at eight tonight," I replied, shocked that he remembered.

"My parents and I are going to be there. Now that we are talking again, would you mind if I drove you to school this morning and to your performance tonight?" 

"Sure, that would be great," I said

"You go ahead and get ready in here, and I will use the guest rooms bathroom,"

"Okay," I said 

I went to the closet and picked out my clothes. I decided to wear a pink sundress. Then I took a shower and brushed my hair and teeth. Once I was done, I met Keith in our kitchen, where he was eating cereal. I also decided to eat some since it was too late to cook something and make it to school on time. 

Keith and I quickly ate our cereal and left the room. Nancy and Edward were smiling at us when they saw us together. 

"I see the two of you talked last night," Nancy said

"Yes, we did," I said

"Does that mean you forgave him?" Edward asked, and Keith looked at me

"Yes, I did, and we are going to give our relationship a chance," I said

"That's great," Nancy said

"We have to go, mom. See you later," Keith said

"See the two of you later. Thank you so much, Ebony," Nancy said, and I smiled at her.

"Where are Raven and Mark?" I asked

"They road in Mark's car. I thought it would be nice for it to be just the two of us today. It seems like forever since we have been in the same room and talking," Keith said

I was so happy that we made it to school on time. Once we made it inside, all the students watched us as we walked through the hallway. Keith's hand was holding mine, and before I would have removed his hand from mine, I decided to let him hold my hand. If we were to give this a chance, I had to get used to him holding my hand and being seen together in public. 

Students had a lot of things to say about Keith and me throughout the first half of school. 

"I guess the two of them are back together,"

" I thought he was going to leave her for the girl he was flirting with in the cafe,"

"She is stupid for taking him back," 

It was embarrassing, but I decided to ignore them. I knew I had to get used to the opinions of others and needed to learn not to let them get to me. Keith must have been hearing them as well, but he had a different way of dealing with what everyone was saying because he shocked me when we got to lunch.

"I want to get everyone's attention," Keith said, standing in front of everyone in the cafeteria.

"First, I have heard all the rumors about Ebony and Me. I want to say that yes, we are back together. I agree with everyone who says I don't deserve her, but I am grateful that she decided to give me another chance. No, I didn't sleep with any other female since finding out that Ebony was my mate. Another thing I want to clarify is that I never told any cheerleaders that I would leave Ebony for them and have never touched any of them since finding out she is my mate. So to be clear, Simone, you need to stop telling everyone I had sex with you a few days ago. I never would touch you or other she-wolves again now that I have Ebony. She is all I want, and my heart and body belong to her, and none of you could ever compare," He said 

Simone ran out of the cafeteria crying. I knew I should feel bad for her, and some of me did, but another part was happy that Keith called her out. She had been bragging to everyone, saying that she and Keith were in a relationship.

"One more thing, I will not tolerate anyone disrespecting my mate. Not from Silver Moon or anywhere else," he said and sat beside me.

Right then, I realized that I was falling for Keith Monroe.
