Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 44

Rose's POV

" I knew that bitch wasn't hurt," Kate said

"What are you talking about?" Kayla asked confused

"We found Vivian on the ground in the woods. She was screaming in pain and said that someone attacked her." I told her

"She didn't look hurt when she first came out here," Kayla said

"Yep! And I knew she was lying. I mind-linked Derek letting him know what was going on. He and Jace showed up a few minutes later, and we all took her to the Pack Doctor." Kate said

"What did the Doctor say?" Kayla asked

"That she was fine," Kate said and rolled her eyes

"Why would she make up something like that" Kayla asked

"I don't know," I said

"I do! She wants to do something to you. Like I said before, I don't trust her alone with you," Kate said

"The only way I can figure out what she is up to is to act like I don't suspect anything,"

"So what do you plan to do exactly?" Kayla asked

"Be friendly to her" I said

"I don't know if that's a good idea," Kate said

"Just trust me," 

She looked at me as if she was thinking of what I had just said.

"Fine! I will go with your friendly plan but I don't think you should be alone with her" Kate said and we all looked at Kayla for her response.

"I guess I can play nice," She said and I smiled

"Where is she at anyway," Kate asked looking around the backyard

"I don't know! She was sitting with Sandy by the pool" Kate replied

"WE"RE UNDER ATTACK!" one of the pack members screamed. I could see a lot of the pack warriors coming our way. Jace came up with a girl that looked about nineteen.

I could see wolves fighting close to the packhouse. The ones facing the trees were guarding the house. I could tell that several wolves were injured or even dead.

"Come on! We have to get to the safe room," Jace said and we followed him to the safe room. There were other females, kids, and elders that were with us. 

Once we were in the safe room, I saw Aunt Lisa, my mom, and James inside. 

"Thank god you guys are alright," My mom said, hugging me tightly

 "What's going on? Why are their wolves fighting outside and why are they so big?" James asked 

I could tell he was confused. He had never seen anything like that and neither have I.

"We will talk about that later son. Right now we need to make sure that everyone is alright" My mom said

I looked around and saw that there were some Pack Members that were injured. Some had deep bite marks on them.

"I will go get the medical kit and help Sally. Kate, Kayla, and James can help me with that. Lilly can you make me some of your healing creams," Aunt Lisa said

"Yes! Rose I will need your help," My mom said and I nodded

Once they went to the side where the injured were, my mom took out some different herbs. She placed them in a bowl and said some words in a language I didn't understand.

" I need you to hold my hand and stir the ingredients. Your magic will help make the cream. I will need to make a lot of this tonight and if I do it myself, I will become too weak and could go into a coma" My mom said 

I held my mom's hand with my left hand and stirred with my right hand. I could feel the power coming from me, as she said the words and it felt good. 

"Good job! You're a natural" My mom said smiling at me

After we made a dozen healing creams, my mom and I helped with the wounded Pack Members. After I bandaged someone's leg, I heard screaming outside the safe room.

Everyone looked toward the door.

"How did they get here? Only certain members know the code to the safe room." Aunt Lisa said

The door burst open and two very big men came inside.

"Who are you?" Aunt Lisa asked stepping in front of everyone. 

"That's none of your concern. All we want is her" he said and pointed at me

I was shocked and worried. What did they want me for? I didn't even know them.

"You can't have her," My mom said and lifted her arms. I knew she was going to use her powers on them but nothing happened

" My powers aren't working," She said

I could see Aunt Lisa and the men that were there to protect us trying to shift. I could see fur start to grow and then nothing. They were screaming in pain for trying to turn into their wolves. They all fell to the ground exhausted.

One of the men that came in grabbed a little girl that couldn't be older than five. 

"You come or I take her," He said gesturing to the little girl he was holding

I couldn't let him take her. She was just a little girl

"I will go with you," I said

My mom and James tried to stop me but then a woman, I didn't see, walked in front of the two men. She had long gold hair, Caramel skin, and grey eyes. She was about my height. She said a few words I didn't understand and everyone in the room fell unconscious except for me, the woman, and the two men. She looked up at me with her Grey eyes.

"If you don't want them to die then you will come with me." She said and walked out of the room.

I followed behind her and the men. As I walked out, I could see that everyone was unconscious. I was worried they were dead.

"They are not dead, but if you try anything stupid they will be." The woman said and I followed after her

We walked until we were by the pack border. There was a car waiting for us but I couldn't see the driver. 

 I decided to try to run from them. I had a laser in my purse that Derek gave me for protection. I took it out and shocked one of the guys. I then shocked the other and began to run. The woman tried to catch me but I was too fast. I was in the woods, running towards the Packhouse. 

When I was close to the house, Vivian came into view. 

"Vivian help" I yelled as I ran to her

"What's wrong?"

"There are a man and a woman following me. They are trying to kidnap me. We have to get back to the Pack House" I said 

Her worried expression changed to an evil look. I looked at her for a moment and then thought about the events that lead to the pack being attacked. Vivian left the backyard right before the attack happened. She wasn't in the safe room. 

"Where have you been," I asked her as I backed away from her.

"I've been around. I had to make sure everything went according to plan." She said

Before I could run away, I felt something sharp go into my neck. I looked up and saw Vivian and Beta Jacob standing in front of me.

"Why," I said weakly

"Because you took what was supposed to be mine," She said

And then everything went dark
