Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 84

Rose's POV

"Fuck that; Chloe is going to pay for trying to hurt my mate and unborn children," Derek said. 

We were sitting in Uncle Michael's office with my parents, his parents, my brothers, Grandma Joyce, and Kate. He made me sit on his lap, saying he needed to be close to me. His hands held me close to him with his face close to my neck like he usually does. I didn't mind it. I liked being close to him; I relaxed when I smelled his scent.

"I don't like that she tried to hurt my sister, but she is my mother. I know you must do something, but please don't hurt her. I think if she knew the truth, she wouldn't act this way toward them," Mark said

"I agree with him. We need to tell her what happened, and maybe she will change her ways," Grandma Joyce said

"No, I agree with Derek. She tried to hurt Lilly and Rose. She will pay for that," Uncle Michael said

"Look, I know you treat Lilly like a sister, but..." Grandma Joyce started, but Uncle Michael cut her off

"I don't just treat her like one; she is my sister. My parents raised her from an infant when your sister put her by the border as a baby. She always has and will always be my baby sister, and nobody is getting away with hurting her or Rose," Uncle Derek said

"Dad," Mark said, looking at our dad, who was looking at my mom. 

"Son, I know she is your mother, but she has done some messed up stuff that she may never be able to fix," My dad said

"I think we should try to talk to her," My mom said, causing everyone to look at her.

"What? but Lil," 

"No, Michael. She is Mark's mother and has been through a lot. We can't take his mother from him without trying to show her the truth," My mom said

"I agree," I said 

"Flower." Derek started, but I cut him off

"I wouldn't want anyone hurting my mom. Let us talk to her," I said. 

Derek looked at his father, who was looking back at him. I knew they were mind-linking.

"Okay, we will try to talk to her, but if it doesn't work, she will be punished harshly," Uncle Michael said, and Mark let out a breath.

"Thanks," Mark said

"I think that I should talk to her," Grandma Joyce said

"You are not going in there by yourself," My mom said

"I will go with her," Mark said

"I will go too," My mom said

"No, I think I should go with Mark. I don't know how she would feel if you were there," Grandma Joyce said, and my mom nodded. 

"Fine but take some guards with you just in case," my mom said, and Grandma Joyce agreed.

Mark and Grandma Joyce left to talk to Chloe.

"What are we going to do about Landon?" Aunt Lisa asked

"I don't know, but he attacked Derek," Uncle Michael said

"What do you want to do, son," Aunt Lisa asked

"I am going to talk to him. Flower, stay with our parents. I will be back shortly," He said and kissed my lips before walking away.

Chloe's POV

I can't believe that little girl beat me. Who is she supposed to be? Is that why Marcus wants her so badly because she is so powerful? 

"We need to talk," I looked up and saw my mother standing by the door. Mark was right by her side.

"We have nothing to talk about," I said

"Yes, we do. You don't know the whole story of how you ended up in the Thunder Moon Pack," She said, and I looked at her.

"You sold me to the Alpha who abused me daily," I snarled

"No, I didn't," She said

"Yes, you did, mother," I said

"Chloe, I am not the one that took you or Lilly away. That was my twin sister Cheryl who took you two away," She said, causing me to roll my eyes.

"Yeah, right, twin sister, why didn't I know about her," I asked

"Chloe, you were three years old. There are a lot of things you don't know," 

"Like what," I asked

"This might hurt you, but you need to know," She started and sighed

Mark grabbed her hand and nodded for her to continue. She looked me in the eye with tears in her eyes

"I am not your mother, Chloe. Cheryl, my twin sister, is. She gave you to me when you were a baby, and I raised you as my own. Until she took you and Lilly from me and gave you to the Thunder Moon Pack. I promise I never wanted either of you to leave," She said

I was shocked. I didn't know what to believe 

"You are lying," I said

"I am not lying, Chloe. Everything I am telling you is the truth," She said

I want to be alone," I said

"Mom, she isn't lying," Mark said

"Just go," I snarled. I could see the hurt on Mark's face making me feel bad.

He stood up and looked at me.

"I love you, mom. No matter what, you are still my mother," He said, and he and the woman I thought was my mother all my life walked out the door.

I let the tears fall from my eyes. Was she telling me the truth? I didn't know what to believe anymore.
