Alissa's POV

I watched as my father walked out of my room. I hated how everything had turned out; it was all because of Ebony. I should have listened to my mother long ago when she told me if we ever found Ebony, she would take my father away. She was right, and that is precisely what happened. 

I did feel bad for helping my mother kidnap Ebony. She never told me that she would beat her the way she did. A knock on my door takes me out of my thoughts. I looked up to see Alistar standing at the entrance of my room. Alistar was a Member of the Royal Pack and was close to my mom and dad. He had always been a close friend of the family, more like an uncle to me.

Hello Alissa. I thought you might want to talk to someone other than your father. I know you are going through some stuff right now. Do you mind if I sit with you for a while?" he asked.

"No, I don't mind. You can sit," I said, and he walked over to a chair that was in the corner and sat. 

"I am shocked my dad let you come in here with me. I haven't seen any of the guards from the Royal Pack for a while," I said

"That is because your father doesn't know who he can trust. Many of the Royal Pack warriors and guards are on your mother's side. I don't think he wants you to run away to your mother again," Alistar said.

"I don't see why he would care if I go to her or not. It isn't like he cares for me anymore now that Ebony is around," I said, feeling sad. 

"You can tell me about it if you want?" Alistar said

"I am tired of Ebony. She is the reason my mom is on the run. She took my father away from me. She is even about to be Queen. She isn't the one that trained her whole life to Rule. I was the one that had to sit through all the boring lectures about being Queen, not her," I said. 

"I thought you didn't want to become Queen."

"I didn't, but things change," I replied

What changed your mind? Alistar asked

"I know I would be a better Queen than Ebony. I have worked my entire life to be the perfect Queen. Even when I didn't want to, I still listened to everything I was told. I am the one that knows how to live as a Royal, not her. She will destroy the Werewolf Community if she becomes Queen. We will all be doomed forever," I said, and I meant it. I didn't believe Ebony would know the first thing about Ruling an entire species. She was raised by a weak omega mother that didn't even care about her daughter's safety. At least my mom wouldn't let anyone try to kill me. 

"I agree with you, Alissa," Alistar said, causing me to look at him.

"What do you mean?" I asked

"I agree that Ebony is a weak Omega and doesn't deserve to be Queen. We need to stop her before she destroys our entire species. I am going to get you out of here and take you to your mother. Come with me," Alistar said and held his hand out for me. I looked at his hand for a moment and then took it.

"Your mother has sent me to get you out of here," Alistar said. We walked out of the room, and I could see the Guards that were assigned to watch me on the ground unconscious.

"Are they going to be okay?" I asked

"Yes. I just put something in their drink to knock them out for a few hours. That way, I can get you out of here."

"You are on my mom's side?" I asked, shocked. I always thought he was closer to my father. 

"The King is making a mistake making his Omega daughter Queen. I have to stop him before it is too late."

Ebony's POV

"How could you tell them about your wolf? Do you know how much danger you are in now? We need to get the council to fix this immediately," Jacob said

"No. If you do, they will hurt them or worse," I replied

"You should have thought of that before you told anyone. I can't let nothing happen to you, Ebony," Jacob said

"Why? Because you don't want to lose your Heir," I asked.

"What? No. I could care less about you becoming Queen. I am worried about someone hurting you because you are my daughter," Jacob said. I am not going to lie. I liked that he didn't only care about me because I was the only one that could truly Rule. I felt that I needed to tell him what Abby had told me.

"How could you let my daughter put herself in danger, Keith? I trusted you," Jacob growled

"Stop it, dad," I said, shocking myself. I had never called him my dad before. Jacob looked at me with a shocked expression, and then he smiled. "Did you just call me your dad?" Jacob asked

"Yes, you are my dad," I replied.

"You never should have told anyone about your wolf. Now, you are in danger," Jacob said.

"They are not the ones I am in danger from," I said, and Keith looked at me.

"What do you mean? Who are you in danger from?" Jacob asked

"I have to tell him, Keith," I mind-linked.

"Are you sure?" Keith linked back

"Yes, I believe he is trustworthy," I replied

"What are the two of you mind-linking about right now? I want to know what is going on," Jacob asked. I looked at Keith to ensure he was okay with me telling him what Abby told me, and he nodded his approval.

"There is something you should know," I said and began telling Jacob everything that Abby told me. I told him about Alice turning everyone against me. About how She wants to make Alissa the Queen. I told him about the two different futures where I am Queen and then where Alissa is Queen. About how I die, Alissa becomes Queen, and the werewolf community is destroyed. I also told him about what would happen if I became Queen. He listened without interruption until I was finished.

"So you are telling me that this Abby told you that Alice wants to make Alissa Queen and is planning to turn everyone against you?"

"Yep. That is correct." Keith said 

"I don't believe the witch. Alissa is in her room with your Guards watching her. How woudl Alice be able to get to her?" Jacob asked

"I don't know, but Abby seemed sure about what she said," I replied

"There is no way any of this could happen," Jacob started but was cut off by Keith.

"One of my warriors mind-linked me just now. Alissa has escaped her room."
