Ebony's POV

When Keith and I reached the Pack Hospital, I began to get second thoughts about checking on Alissa. I didn't want her to be upset with me being in her mother's room while she was on life support. I wasn't sure if Alissa blamed me for her mother's state.

I looked at Keith to see he was talking to someone through mind-link. Once he was done speaking to whoever contacted him, he looked at me. "I am sorry, My Love. Mark and the warriors need to speak to me about a border issue. How about I take you back to the Packhouse and come back here after I am done talking to them? I don't want you staying here without me or someone I trust," Keith said. I knew he was worried about what Abby had told him about her vision of me becoming evil. I didn't want him to worry about me.

"Okay, " I replied.

"Hey, Sweetheart, Alpha Keith. I am happy to see you two." I looked over to see Grandma Margarette. She had been volunteering at the Pack Hospital since she moved to Silvermoon.

"Hi, we are happy to see you too," I said as she hugged me close.

"And you know you don't need to call me Alpha Keith. We are family," Keith said

"I know. I need to get used to that. I never had an Alpha in the family before," Grandma Margarette said

"Well, you do now, and don't forget your Granddaughter is a Princess and soon to be Queen," Keith replied.

"I guess you are right. What are the two of you doing here?"

"I wanted to check on Alissa. I heard she was visiting her mother's room," I said.

"Yeah, she is. I feel so bad for Princess Alissa. She is so young and has to go through all of this. She may be spoiled, but no one deserves to lose a parent," Grandma Margarette said. I couldn't help but feel bad knowing that Jacob rejected Alice because of me. Yeah, she attacked me, but I felt I was partly to blame.

"Oh, dear. I am sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel bad. None of this is your fault," Grandma Margarette said, noticing I was feeling bad.

"I know. I am fine," I replied.

"We were just leaving. Something urgent has come up, and we have to get back to the Packhouse," Keith said

"Okay. Do you both have something Urgent, or just you? I thought Ebony could help me here," Grandma Margarette said. Keith looked at me, and I could see he was worried something might happen if I stayed.

"Thanks, Grandma, but I need to go with Keith. Maybe I could help out some other time," I said.

"Of course Dear." KEith and I walked outside of the Hospital.

"Luna Ebony. I am so happy I could bump into you again before I left." I turned around to see Tia walking toward me.

"Oh, Hi, Tia," I said.

"Hello, Alpha Keith," Tia said, looking over at Keith.

"Hi, Tia. Ebony told me she ran into you. I didn't know you were still here visiting Abby," Keith said in a not so friendly tone.

"Yes, I wanted to make sure everything was okay. I was happy to find out that King Jacob stopped the war. I didn't see that coming," Tia said

"Yeah," I replied

"I was wondering if you thought about my offer to train you?" Tia asked

"Yes, I have thought about it but decided to decline your offer. But thank you for offering," I said

"Do you mind telling me why? It would be good for you to keep training. You are a White Wolf, and you need to learn about all you can do," she said

"I decided to have my father help me since he is just like me," I replied. Her facial expression showed me that she was upset at what I had just told her.

"Are you sure he is the best one to ask? I thought you didn't trust him to help you," Tia asked.

"I didn't trust him at first, but now my wolf, and I believe he can be trusted. He did stop the fight and reject his Mate for me," I replied.

"Look, Tia. Thank you for wanting to help my Mate, but she has already told you what she wants," Keith said before Tia could comment.

"Are you sure she is the one that made up her mind, or was it you?" Tia asked, shocking me

"What did you just say?" Keith growled. I could tell he was losing his patience.

"What I am saying is that you don't want Luna Ebony to reach her full potential. I know you don't want her to become stronger than you. It would mess up your ego," Tia said

"Tia," I said, shocked. Keith looked like he wanted to wring her neck, but I put my hands on his chest to calm him. He pulled my body to his and hugged me closely, inhaling my scent to calm down.

"You don't know anything about me. You need to leave now,' Keith growled.

"That will not be a problem, Alpha Keith. I was on my way to your Territory anyway," Tia said and then looked at me and began to walk away. "When you want to reach your full potential, please call. Don't let your Mates insecurities stop you," She said.

"He isn't trying to stop me," I said

"You have no idea," she replied.

"Mandy, is that you?" Grandma Margarette asked, looking at Tia. I looked between them, confused.

"I am afraid you have me confused with someone else," Tia said, trying to hide her face.

"I am positive I don't. I didn't know King Jacob, and you were talking." I looked at Keith, who was looking at the interaction between Grandma Margarette and Tia.

"I don't know who this Mandy is. I have to go," Tia said and began running away. Keith and I looked at Grandma Margarette, who was looking in the direction Tia ran.

"Who is Mandy?"
