Keith's POV

"Where is my daughter?" My mom asked as she walked into my room.

"She is hanging out with Raven," I said, annoyed.

As soon as we walked into the Packhouse, Ebony went with Raven to her room. She said she didn't want to step into our room until the cleaners were done.

"Well, I wouldn't want to step foot in here either if I was her," My mom said

"I know I shouldn't have had anyone in this room. I was stupid but am making it right," I said

"Did she buy some clothes at the mall," My mom asked

"Yes, I had to throw things into the cart for her because she didn't want me to spend money on her. I told her it was her money, but she didn't listen. She is stubborn," I said

"At least you know she isn't a gold digger. Just give her time to adjust to this life. From her mother's looks, I don't think Ebony has had a parent that gave her much. I'm sure she had to work for everything she has," My mom said.

"Yeah, and I plan on changing all of that. She is mine, and I plan on treating her like a Queen. First, I need to make up for all the pain I caused her," I said 

"That would be a great start. I'm going to find your father. The workers are doing a good job in your room. Maybe I can take Ebony to buy some new furniture after school tomorrow. Let her choose everything so that she feels at home," my mom said, and I couldn't help but agree.

"That's a good idea, mom; It is her room too. I will ask her if she would like to go tomorrow. It will give me a reason to see her," I said, and we went our separate ways.

"Hey, Keith, I heard Ebony is your mate. How do you feel about that," One of the She-wolves asked as I was about to walk past her?

"I am happy. I couldn't have asked for a better mate," I said

"What about Sandy? She said that both of you would reject your mates for each other. Don't you think you are betraying her?"

"I never told Sandy that I would reject my mate. I actually told her the opposite. I don't know why I am talking to you. I need to go to my mate and your future Luna. I am only going to tell you this once: don't mess with my mate," I said in my Alpha tone.

"Okay," She said and started to walk away.

Once I made it to Raven's room, I knocked on the door. Raven came to the door and rolled her eyes when she saw me.

"I was wondering when you would show up," Raven asked.

"Nice to see you too," I replied

"Ebony, Keith is here," Raven said, and we walked into her room.

"Hey," I said

"Hey," Ebony replied

"I am going to talk to Aunt Nancy," Raven said, leaving Ebony and me alone.

"They are almost done with our room. They said it will take until the afternoon tomorrow," I said

"That's good,"

"My mom and I wanted to know if you would like to pick out the new furniture for our room tomorrow after school," I asked.

"You want me to pick it out?" She asked shocked

"Of course, it is your room too, and I want you to be comfortable. You can pick everything out, whatever you want. Please don't make our room pink. I mean, if you want, you can add some other colors too. Whatever you want," I was saying but was cut off when she giggled.

Her giggle was the most beautiful sound I had ever heard. The way her eyes shine when she looks at me with her beautiful smile on her face. I didn't know how I didn't notice it before.

"You are so beautiful," I said, and she started blushing.

"Thank you, and I would love to go shopping with you and your mom tomorrow. I promise I won't choose pink. I like blue anyway," She said 

"Well, that's good. I like blue too, so we have something in common. Are you planning on staying with Raven tonight?" I asked, already knowing the answer

"Yes, she said I could. Besides, you said they are still working on the room," She said

"I really want to make this work, Ebony. I will do anything to earn your trust and forgiveness. But I need you to also try with me," I said, honestly.

"I know, and I want that too. I promise I will give you a chance and try as well," She said

"Thank You; I will stay with Mark and his dad tonight. His mom is out of town with her sister, so they said I could stay there," I told her.

"Alright, see you tomorrow," She said, and I went up and kissed her cheek.

"See you tomorrow. I will be taking you to school," I said

"Okay," She said, and I left Raven's room determined to win my mate's trust and her heart
