Ebony's POV

I looked at the clock and was thankful when the final bell rang. I grabbed my things and left the room. Keith was supposed to meet me at my locker, and when I arrived, he was waiting with Raven and Mark. When he saw me, a smile instantly appeared on his face.

"You ready to go?" Keith asked 

"Yeah, just let me get one of the books I need," I said and opened my locker to grab the book.

Once I put all my stuff into my locker, we went to Keith's car and left. Raven and Mark argued while Keith and I stayed quiet the whole ride home. I was still thinking about what everyone was saying about us at school. I wondered if Keith was happy that I was his mate. I felt a pain in my chest, thinking he would rather be mated to someone else.

I felt tingles go through my hand and up my arm, and he placed his warm hand in mine. I looked up and saw him looking at me. He had stopped the car due to traffic.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked me

"Nothing important," I replied

"It is important if it has you deep in thought. You can tell me," He said

I wondered if I should tell him what I was thinking. I told him I would try to make this work, so I knew I should tell him what I was worried about. But then I thought about Mark and Raven being in here and didn't want to talk about it in front of them.

"I will tell you later when we are alone," I said 

"Okay," He said, and I put my hand up to his mouth for him to kiss.

"Are you two ready to go shopping," Keith's mother asked as we got out of the car

"In a minute, mom. Let us put our stuff up," Keith said

"Well, hurry up, you two," His mom said

Keith looked at me with a worried expression.

"I was wondering if you would stay in our room now. The workers are done with the remodel, and everything is brand new," He said

"I will stay in our room, but I am not ready to sleep in the same bed," I told him honestly.

I could tell he was sad from his facial expression. I felt terrible, but I knew I wasn't ready to share a bed with him. I wasn't over the way he treated me or the fact that I saw Ashlee waiting for him in our bed naked. It made me think of him and Sandy; I don't know how many other females he had slept with. 

I didn't trust him, and until I did, I would sleep in my room. I told him I would give him a chance, so I decided to stay on the same floor with him. I wanted to give this a try; the Moon Goddess had to have made us mates for a reason.

Once the elevator stopped, we got out and were at the door of our room. 

"Try your fingerprint on the door. It should work now," He said, and I placed my thumb on the sensor. The door clicked open, and we walked inside the room.

"You can sleep in our room, and I will take a guest room," He said

"You don't have to do that. I will stay in the guest room," I said

"Don't be silly. It's your room just as much as mine," He said and took me to our room.

The whole room was brand new, just like he said. There was no furniture in the family room or the master bedroom. The dining room table was also missing. I looked into the master bathroom, and there was a brand new bath and shower, and the carpet and tile floor were changed throughout all the rooms on our floor.

"I made sure that everything was brand new so that only me and you are the ones that used it. I am sorry it took you telling me off to do this. I should have done it before bringing you here," He said

I just looked around before replying. "You didn't get any furniture. I thought I was picking stuff for our bedroom," I said

"At first, I picked some stuff out, but then I decided we should pick it all out together. As I said, this is both of our rooms, and I want you to pick everything that you like," He said, and I couldn't help the smile that appeared on my face.

"Okay," I replied

"Let's go before my mom comes up here and drags us to the car. She is happy to go shopping with us and wants to get to know you," he said 

I put my stuff on the floor, and we left to meet his mom downstairs.
