Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 94

Lilly's POV

"I think they are waking up," I said

"They will be unconscious for at least another hour. They should be out before then," Joyce said

I didn't feel comfortable calling her my mother. She had given me up as an infant willingly. I understand she had good reason because of the visions she talked about seeing, but it still didn't hurt. Besides, I have a mom and dad that have treated me great.

"You should let me train you with your magic as well, Lilly. You are more powerful than you know," she said

"I'm fine," I said. I didn't use my powers often, but I was pretty good at it. I didn't need her to show me anything.

"Well, if you change your mind, just tell me," She said

"I won't," I said

"You can't change who you are, Lilly. Being a witch is a part of you and your children," She replied 

I stayed silent, not wanting to have this conversation.

"You need to tell him what he is," She said, causing me to look at her

"What are you talking about?" I asked. I was beginning to panic. She couldn't possibly know what happened

"You know what I'm talking about, Lilly. You can't hide what happened all those years ago, and the magic you used to hide what he really is will not last much longer," She replied

"You don't know what you are talking about. You don't know me, so don't try to act like my mother now. Everything I do is for the good of my children," I said

She looked at me for a moment before replying.

"I'm not trying to argue with you, Lilly. You need to tell Jason everything soon," She said, and we heard a loud bang.

I looked over and saw that the mansion was on fire.

"What was that?" I asked

"I don't know; it sounded like an explosion," She replied

I started to go toward the house, but a bright light began to shine. 

Jason's POV

"This is a trap we have to go," Derek screamed.

"What wrong?" Mark asked

I looked to where Derek was looking and saw a bomb on the ground. It was going to go off in five seconds. 

Derek and Mark began to run, but I knew we didn't have time to run. Something in me told me I had to do something, so I did what I felt was right. I closed my eyes and began feeling energy go through my body. I quickly lifted my hands toward the bomb as it went off.

I saw fire everywhere from the enormous explosion when I opened my eyes. The mansion was on fire, and everything was destroyed. However, I could also see a bright light shielding me from the fire.

I heard gasps behind me. When I turned around, Derek and Mark were looking at me with shocked expressions on their faces. That was when I realized that the light was coming from me. I was the one shielding us from the fire.

"We need to get out of here," Derek said after he got over the shock. We began walking and everywhere we looked everything was on fire. The only reason we were alive was because of this shield. I didn't even know how I was doing it.

"We need to hurry up. I don't know how long this shield will last," I said and we began running.

Finally, we made it to the door, but we were not alone. There were about two warlocks that were by the door. They looked shocked when they saw us.

"Who are you?" They asked

"None of your business," We said and they were about to lift their hands but Mark was quicker and made them fly into a tree. 

We ran back to where my mom and Grandma Joyce were waiting for us. The light was still around me and I didn't know how to get rid of it. My mom looked at me with a shocked face, while Grandma Joyce smiled.

"I told you he had powers," She said, looking at my mom

"Where is Rose?" My mom asked

"It was a trap, Rose wasn't in there. Cheryl knew you would use your blood to find her. She had somehow put Rose's scent in a room to make us believe she was there. We found a bomb instead and somehow Jason saved us with this," Derek said pointing to me

"I should have known. We have to go. They aren't here anymore," Joyce said

"How do I get rid of this," I asked

"Just clear your mind and it should go away," Joyce said

I closed my eyes and inhaled, trying to calm my body and mind. I could feel the energy leaving my body. I opened my eyes and saw that the light was gone.

"Good job," Grandma Joyce said

"Let's go. We need to figure out where Rose really is," Derek said and we formed a circle to leave Norvok.
