Werewolf
Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 237
Ebony's POV
I stood frozen in place when Alissa left. I was shocked that she said all of those things to me. I had no idea she was upset that I had decided to become Queen. No idea that she felt that Jacob had forgotten all about her since finding me. I couldn't help but feel bad for her. Alissa's life was perfect until I came along.
Deep down, I knew I wasn't to blame for how everything turned out. Alice decided to make the decisions that got her in trouble with the Royal Council. Most of those decisions were made before I was found.
I thought about Keith and decided I should help Jacob and him get my Grandparent's house together. "Keith, are you busy right now?" I mink-linked.
"Just helping bring in boxes, My Love. What's up? Are you and Alissa having fun?"Keith asked through the link
"She got upset and left our floor. I was thinking of walking to my Grandparent's house since it's not that far away, so I can help," I linked.
"I will meet you at the Packhouse. I don't want you walking over here alone," Keith linked.
"Okay, I will be waiting out front," I said, and we ended the link. As soon as I opened the bedroom door to get in the elevator, I felt a pinch in my neck, which made me jump. I turned to see Alissa standing behind me.
"Alissa, I thought you left," I said. I suddenly felt dizzy and fell to the ground. "What did you give me?" I asked
"I didn't give you anything," She said, and Alice walked in front of her. I tried to mind-link Keith, but I couldn't. I couldn't even feel my wolf. I knew then that they must have given me something to hurt my wolf, like wolfsbane.
"Hello, Ebony. I have been waiting for this moment," I heard Alice say before darkness consumed me.
Keith's POV
"Ebony just mind-linked me and said she wanted to come help. I am going to go get her," I said
"Is Alissa coming to help too?" Jacob asked
"I don't think so. Ebony said they got into an argument, and Alissa left our floor," I replied
"What did they argue about?" Jacob asked
"I don't know. She didn't say. I am going to go get her now, and I am sure she will tell you when we get back," I said
"Okay, I am going to mind-link Alissa and see what's going on," Jacob said, and I left. I knew it was a bad idea for Ebony and Alissa to hand out. I had a bad feeling about Alissa. She seemed sneaky like all those she-wolves from school who always tried to play the innocent role, but deep down, they would do anything to get their way. I have always been good at sensing these types of things about females. I wanted to tell Ebony what I thought about Alissa, but she seemed to be happy that she had a younger sister, so I tried to give Alissa the benefit of doubt.
Then, Alissa began to act like she didn't want anything to do with Ebony. When she thought nobody was watching, I saw the cold glares she sent her way. I knew she was jealous of Ebony. Most likely upset that Ebony was getting more attention than she was from everyone. I am sure the little princess wasn't used to sharing her daddy's attention with anyone besides her mom. Speaking of her mom, I am sure she blames Ebony for her being in trouble with the Royal Council. That is why I didn't want Ebony to go out of the Packhouse with her. I wasn't going to give Alissa a chance to hurt my Mate.
When I arrived at the Packhouse, Ebony was not outside. "I am outside, My Love," I mind-linked, but she didn't respond. "Ebony, are you still in our room?' No reply. I got out of the car and began to walk into the Packhouse. I went up to our floor, and she wasn't there. I went to Raven's room and knocked on the door.
"What's up," She asked as she opened the door.
"Have you seen Ebony?" I asked
"No. She told me she was hanging with Alissa today," Raven replied.
"Yeah, she was, but they ended up getting into an argument, and Alissa walked out of the room. I came here to pick her up, but she wasn't in our room or answering when I linked her. When I think about it, I haven't been able to feel her emotions through our bond," I said. I was beginning to panic. I was hoping what I was thinking happened was not true, but everything inside of me told me it was. "Jeff, I need you to come up to my floor immediately. Make sure you bring the security tapes with you," I mind-linked Jeff. He was in charge of our security team.
"I'm on my way Alpha," he linked back. I called Jacob and told him that Ebony was missing. I didn't tell him what I thought happened yet because I didn't know if what I was thinking was true. Jacob said he was on his way, and we ended the call.
"I haven't been able to get ahold of Alissa either. Do you think they are in danger?" Jacob asked worriedly as he walked onto Ebony and my floor.
"You need to see this, Alpha," Jacob said, and I walked over to look at the screen.
"What is it?" Jacob asked as he walked closer to see what I was looking at.
"After Alice tried to hurt Ebony the day of Ebony and my Mating Ceremony, I had cameras put in the elevator of our floor. There are also some by the front door of our room," I replied. I watched the video and growled from anger when I saw Alice shoot something into Ebony's neck. First, Ebony fell to the ground while Alissa and Alice looked down at her. Then, I saw them both drag Ebony down the stairs. Most Pack Members didn't take the steps, so it was the easiest way to escape.
"I can't believe Alissa would be a part of this," Jacob said, shocked.
"I need all of the Pack Warriors and Trackers to meet me in front of the Packhouse NOW," I mind-linked all my Pack Members.
"Yes, Alpha," everyone linked back.
"Come on," I said, looking at Jacob.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"To find my Mate."
