Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 70

Derek's POV

"Hey man, congratulations on your Mating and Alpha Ceremony that are coming up this weekend," Jace said as he and Landon walked into my father's office.

"Thank you. What has been going on with Vivian and Jacob?" I asked

"That is what we wanted to talk to you about. Sally found out that there had been some drugs put in Vivian's tea by our father. She said it is something that a dark witch would use to mess with someone's mind," Jace said

"What do you mean?" I asked

"We believe he has been using the herb to mess with her mind. Make her believe that I am trying to trick her into believing she is my mate," Landon said

"Why would he go through all that trouble?" I asked confused

"Because he wants her to be mated to you," Landon said

I thought about it for a while and knew he was right. Jacob has always wanted us to be mated, and I was sure he would do anything to make it happen.

"We need to make Vivian see the truth. She thinks I am trying to trick her into believing we are mates. Sally said she has been taking the herb for too long, and we need to get it out of her system. We need to keep Jacob away from her so he can't do any more damage," Landon said worriedly.

I looked over at my father, that looked like he was in deep thought.

"I think we need to spread the word that you and Rose are expecting. That way, Jacob might get upset and do something stupid in front of everyone," My dad said, causing Landon and Jace to look at me.

"Rose is pregnant?" Landon asked 

"Yes," I said with a smile on my face

"Congratulations, man. I guess we have more to celebrate than just your ceremonies coming up," Jace said

"That is a good idea. If you let my father know that you and your mate are expecting a child, he will probably lose it. Hopefully, Vivian will realize how crazy he is," Jace said

"That sounds like a good idea, but I don't want anything happening to Rose. We must ensure she is guarded until Jacob is taken into custody. I don't like that he is walking around free right now when I know he is guilty," I said, and everyone agreed.

I will make the announcement now to the whole pack. Let us see what happens," My father said, and we all followed after him.

Jacob's POV

"I swear if these guards don't keep following me, I am going to go crazy," I said as I made my way to the emergency meeting that Alpha Michael called for.

"They are just trying to ensure your safety," My mate Veronica said

"Hello, everyone; thank you for coming on short notice. We have some essential and fantastic news to share with you all. First, the Mating and Alpha Ceremony will be happening next Saturday and Sunday for my son and his mate Rose," Alpha Michael said, and everyone started cheering.

I couldn't believe it. They can't be fully mated. I have to do something about this before it is too late.

Alpha Michael smiled out to the crowd that was still cheering. 

"There is more exciting news. Derek and Rose are already expecting their first baby. Not only one child but two. They are having twins," He said, and everyone cheered louder.

"Oh my goddess Jacob, this is wonderful. A new Alpha will be born," Veronica said, causing me to growl.

"Are you okay?" She asked

"Yes, I am just tired. I will go lie down," I said and started walking towards my room.

Two guards followed me, causing me to get upset. I had to get away from them if I wanted to do something about that witch. She was messing up my whole plan.

I closed the door to my room. I knew that the guards were still outside of my door.

I needed to get to my daughter's room so we could devise a plan to get rid of this witch. Vivian was his mate, and he would see that soon.

I grabbed my phone and called one of the witches I had Vivian stay with for the last two years.

"Hey, I need you to sneak in here tonight. We have something that we need to discuss," I said

"How do you expect me to sneak in there?" She asked

"I know you can figure something out," I said

"No, I am done. You have already got a lot of my kind in trouble. You have gone too far, and I am done," she said and hung up on me.

I threw my phone at the wall. How dare she hand up on me.

I will make her, and everyone else pays.
