Keith's POV

"I am on my way," I told Raven and ran outside. I took off my clothes and quickly shifted into my wolf. Thank the Goddess Ebony and Raven didn't leave Pack Territory, or I would have had to drive there. It was way quicker shifting and running than driving. When I arrived at Mann's Pizza, Ebony sat on a chair beside Raven. The Doctor was checking to make sure Ebony was alright. 

"Ebony, are you alright?" I asked as I walked over to her. 

"I'm fine. Just have a headache," She said as I wrapped my arms around her.

"I believe the man gave our Luna a drug that is like Chloroform. That is what made her pass out," The Doctor said 

"Keith," Mark mind-linked me. I had him wait at the Jail until the Guards arrived with the Rogue that tried to kidnap Ebony.

"What did you find out about the Rogue?" I asked through the link

"He isn't Rogue. He says he is from the Royal Pack and demands to speak to you. He says he won't talk to anyone but you," Mark linked back.

"I will be there, but I am going to take care of Ebony first," I replied

"Okay, he will be heavily guarded until you arrive," Mark said, and we ended the link.

"Come on, let's get you home," I said and stood up. Then, I surprised her by picking her up bridal style and taking her to the car.

"I am fine walking," she said

"I know you are, but I feel better carrying you," I replied, placing her in the car.

"Has he told you anything?" I asked Mark. After Ebony fell asleep, I ensured I had enough Pack Warriors guarding our room. Then, I made my way to the Jail.

"No, he won't speak to anyone but you," Mark said, and I walked into the cell.

"It's about time you showed up," the man said. I didn't know why but he looked familiar. I felt like I had seen him somewhere before but couldn't figure out where

"Who are you, and why did you attach my Mate?" I asked

"I had no choice. My name is Marcus, and I am one of the Werewolf Queens Guards. I am sure you had seen me before in the Palace while you and Princess Ebony were there," 

"I knew you looked familiar. Why would you attach my Mate?" I asked

"I had no choice. The Queen threatened to kill my family if I didn't take the future Queen. She is really upset that her daughter is not the heir to the throne," He said. 

"So you felt it was right to take my Mate?" I growled

"I didn't have a choice," 

"You said the Queen told you to kidnap my Mate?" I asked

"Yes, she told me to take her," Marcus said. I gestured for Mark to follow me out of the cell, and he followed me.

"Do you think he is lying?" Mark asked

"Honestly, I think he is telling the truth. I told you what happened while Ebony and I were at the Palace. How rude the Queen was to her and made smark remarks," I said

"But why would she want to kidnap Ebony? Especially after she left on her own," Mark asked.

"I don't know. She probably wants to make sure she is out of the way permanently. That way, Alissa will become the Werewolf Queen for sure," I said

"So you think she wants to kill Ebony?" Mark asked

"Yes, I think that is what she wants to do. That is the only way to make sure her daughter becomes Queen,"

"What are you going to do?"

"I am going to contact Ebony's father, the King. I believe there are some things the two of us need to discuss," I  replied. Mark and I walked back into the cell.

"You're going to let me go, right? Since you know the Queen was behind this," Marcus asked as I picked up a gun filled with bullets laced with wolfsbane.

"What were you going to do to Ebony if you weren't caught?" I asked, and he looked at me with a worried expression 

"I didn't want to do anything to her. I told you the Queen threatened my family," 

"You didn't answer my question. What were you going to do to her? Were you going to kill her?" I asked, and he stayed quiet, letting me know that was exactly what he was going to do

"You believe you deserve to live after trying to kill my Mate?" I asked

"It wasn't my idea. Please, I have a family," he said

"Don't worry about your family. I will make sure they are safe," I said, then shot him in the chest repeatedly. I walked up to him and shot him one last time in the head. 

"Have one of the warriors burn his body immediately," I said and left the room.
