Ebony's POV

" I can't believe you told him that. I bet he was so sad," Raven said as I told her what I said to Keith.

"I am proud of you, Ebony. My son can't just treat his mate like that," Nancy said 

Nancy, Raven, and I decided to have a girls' night. I was telling them everything that I said, Keith. 

I was shocked at my boldness when I told him that I would not sleep in a room where other she-wolves had been with him intimately. I meant every word I told him. I knew I deserved to be treated better as his mate.

"He should have known better than to bring any other female into the room that he would share with his mate and future Luna. I don't know what he was thinking," His mother said

"Yeah, that was so disrespectful. I would be pissed off if my Mate did that to me. Whenever I meet my Mate that is," Raven replied

"I hope that he got the message. I am not going to be treated like just some random girl," I said

"Trust me, Ebony, my son, doesn't think of you as some random she-wolf. He cares for you; he needs to show you. He's never been good at expressing himself to anyone," Nancy said

"Yeah, well, he better learn fast. Now that he has a mate," Raven said, and I agreed.

"Give him a chance, Ebony. He will prove to you how he truly feels about you," Nancy said

"I told him I would give him a chance to prove that he cares for me and wants to change," I said, and she smiled.

"Well, let's get some rest. Did you decide to stay at Blood Moon High?" Raven asked

"Yeah, I can't run from the Pack. I know it is best if I stay now that I am Keith's Mate," I said

"Good, I will be there with you," Raven said with a smile.

We all got ready for bed. I couldn't sleep because all I could do was think of Keith. I missed him and wished that I was lying in his arms. Then, I heard my phone beep and looked down to see a message from Keith. I couldn't help the smile that came to my lips as I read it.

"I am sorry, Love; I will make everything up to you. I promise," Keith's message read 

I placed my phone on my pillow and thought about Keith. I could tell that he was trying to change for me already. Maybe he did care for me, and I was worried for nothing. I have heard stories about the evilest werewolves changing for their Mates. Keith isn't evil he has just made some bad decisions when it comes to me. Hopefully, we wouldn't end up the way that my parents did.

I closed my eyes and let sleep consume me as I dreamed of Keith.

I woke up to the sun shining on my face. I looked at the clock and saw it was 7 AM Sunday.

"Get up. Aunt Nancy made breakfast downstairs," Raven said, and I sat on the bed.

"She sure got up early," I said 

"Yeah, she likes to cook on Sunday mornings. Plus, she is excited that you are here and Keith's  mate, so I'm pretty sure this will be like a party," Raven said

"Just what I need, the spotlight on me," I said sarcastically, causing Raven to laugh.

"Well, you are mated to a future Alpha and will be Luna of the Silver Moon Pack, so the spotlight will always be on you," She said

I got up and went to the bathroom. I took a shower letting the hot water calm my nerves, I then brushed my teeth and hair. Once I was finished, Raven and I headed downstairs to the Pack Kitchen. Nancy was down there, along with a lot of pack members. She had already finished cooking. When she saw me, she smiled.

"Hey, Ebony. How did you sleep last night?" Nancy asked me

"I slept good, thank you," I replied

"Well, let's sit down. I'm sure you are hungry," She said, and we all sat at the table.

As soon as I sat down, I heard some music. First, I could hear someone singing one of my favorite songs. Then I saw Keith in front of me with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.

"Ebony, I know I haven't treated you the best, and for that, I am sorry. I promise that from this day forward, I will treat you the way I should have been treating you. I will show you how much I love you every day and promise to tell you how important you are to me every day. You are the best thing that could ever have happened to me, and I am sorry that it took all this time for me to figure that out," He said and handed me my flowers which I accepted.

"Thank you," I said

"No, thank you. I don't deserve a mate as great as you, but I promise to become worthy of you," He said and kissed my cheek.
