Ebony's POV

"I can't do it," I said. I was getting frustrated. I had been training with  Jacob for three weeks now. Well, if that is what you want to call it. All he has me doing is looking at a cup that he wants me to move with my mind.

"Yes, you can, Ebony. You need to concentrate," Jacob said 

"I have been concentrating for a week now, and the cup hasn't moved," I replied. Jacob closed his eyes for a moment and let out a sigh before opening his eyes. 

"Come here, Ebony. Let's take a break," Jacob said, and we sat on the grass. It was funning seeing the King of Werewolves sitting on the grass looking all normal. After hearing all those stories about the Werewolf King, I would never have thought he would be sitting with me. Of course, I never thought he would be my father, either. 

"Ebony, you need to stay calm when using your abilities. Getting yourself frustrated is not going to help you control them. You have to focus on what I am telling you to do, but you keep becoming angry, which throws off your focus," Jacob said.

"Okay, I will try to stay calm," I said 

"You won't try to stay calm. You will stay calm, right?" Jacob asked

"Right," 

"Good. Now let's try again," Jacob said, and we stood up from the ground and got back to training.

"How did it go?" Keith asked when Jacob and I arrived at the Packhouse. 

"She is making progress," Jacob said, causing me to look at him. I didn't make any progress. Even after our talk, I still couldn't move the cup with my mind. I was starting to believe I would never learn to control my abilities. 

"That's good. Are you hungry, My Love?" Keith asked

"Yes, but I am going to our room to take a shower and change out of my workout clothes," I said

"Okay, I will come with you," Keith said, and we headed to our room. Once we arrived, I took a quick shower while Keith talked to one of the Pack Alphas that wanted to form a treaty with us. Apparently, they were having issues with Rogues coming into their territory and wanted us to send some of our warriors to help them. 

Keith was getting off the phone as soon as I walked into our living room. When he saw me, he began to smile. "You ready, My Love," Keith asked as he walked over to me. 

"Yes, what happened with the Pack Alpha?" I asked

"He wants me to send fifteen of our warriors to his territory. He says that if we help, his pack will always have our back, and whenever we need them, they will be here," Keith said 

"What are you going to do?' I asked

"I am going to send Mark to check them out. My dad had never had a treaty with Storm Pack before, and they never asked him for help. I am worried they are asking me because I am a new Alpha and one of the youngest Alphas there has ever been. He might be trying to get over on me," Keith said 

"You won't let him do that. You might be a young Alpha, but you are not a pushover. You will make the right decision," I told him, and he wrapped his arms around me. 

"I don't deserve you," Keith said 

"Yes, you do, or the Moon Goddess wouldn't have paired us as Mates," I said and kissed him softly. He kissed me back, and I could feel all his emotions through the kiss and our bond. I knew he wanted to do more but pulled away when my stomach began to growl. 

"I almost forgot that I need to feed you," Keith said 

"We can eat later," I said, connecting my lips to his again. He kissed me back quickly and pulled away but still had his hands on my waist. 

"You need to eat. We will finish this later," Keith said, and we walked to the kitchen. Alissa, Mark, and Raven were sitting in the kitchen eating Pancakes. 

"Hey, Ebony. How did training go?" Alissa asked

"Okay," I replied 

"Go ahead and have a seat, My Love. I will get you a plate," Keith said and went to sit by Alissa. 

"I am so happy that school is over. Now we can have some fun," Raven said

"It would be great to have some fun. I feel like we haven't had any in ages. When was the last time we went to a party?" Mark asked, looking at Keith.

"It has been a while," Keith said

"Man, we haven't been to a party since you discovered Ebony was your Mate. Kelly is having a party tonight. We should go," Mark said 

"No. I am not taking Ebony to her party," Keith replied

"Why not?" I asked. Mark was right Keith used to hang out with him all the time. They would go to parties every weekend before we discovered we were Mates. I used to hear all the rumors at school about what Keith and all the other popular guys did at the parties they used to attend. Then once we found out we were Mates, he stopped going. 

I couldn't help but wonder if maybe he didn't go to the parties anymore because of me. Was he worried that I wouldn't fit in and that I might embarrass him or something? 

"Don't even think that, My Love. I would never think that you would embarrass me," Keith said through our Mate link. He must have felt my emotion and knew what I was thinking.

"Come on, Man. You are sending me to the Shadow Pack in two days. The least you could do is go to this party with me. I am sure Ebony would like to go," Mark said 

'Mark," Keith replied

"It would be fun. What do you say, Ebony?" Raven asked

"I don't see anything wrong with it. I think we should go," I said, and we all looked at Keith. Keith let out a sigh before responding.

"Fine. Let's go to this party,"
