Werewolf
Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 124
Jace's POV
"Mom, we need to get out of here and find somewhere else to stay," I said.
My mom and I have been staying in a Witch's Coven for two weeks now. I have told her numerous times that we need to get out of there, but she won't listen.
"We can't leave Jace or Derek will kill us. Hanson said that as long as we stay here, we are protected," my mom said
"Mom, he is lying to you," I said
I knew Hanson was an evil Warlock and that he couldn't be trusted. The only reason I was still at his Coven was because of my mom. She wouldn't leave, no matter how often I tried to tell her we needed to. I knew we couldn't go back to the Blood Moon Pack because of what I did. But what else was I supposed to do? I couldn't let my mother die, knowing I could do something about it.
Now I am stuck in a house full of evil witches, and my Mate is nowhere near me. Lacy, I love her so much and hate that I had to leave without her, but I couldn't put her in danger. She would be In danger if I brought her with me. I just hoped she could forgive me for leaving her and that we would be together again soon.
"He is not lying, Jace, and we have nowhere else to go,"
"We could always find a new home away from all of this craziness with Me, you, and Lacy," I said
Suddenly Hanson appeared out of nowhere. What shocked me was that Chloe was with him, and she was walking.
"Chloe," I said, surprised.
"Now that everyone is here, it is time for us to discuss how we are going to take over all the realms," Hanson said
"My mom and I don't want anything to do with you and your evil plans. So we will be leaving," I said and stood.
I looked over at my mom, waiting for her to get up with me, but she stayed seated.
"Mom, what are you doing?" I asked
"I am listening to what Hanson has to say,"
"You heard what he is trying to do. You can't honestly be on his side," I said
"Derek and that bitch took your sister and father from us, Jace, and now they want to kill you and me too. I will do anything to make them pay," my mom growled, shocking me. My mom was always loving and caring.
"Mom, this isn't you," I said
"Well, then, I guess I've changed. I heard losing your Mate can do that to you," she said
I could tell my mom wasn't going to leave. Instead, she was determined to make the ones that took my dad and Vivian away pay.
"Mom, I don't like that Vivian and dad are gone, but they did some horrible things. Vivian was not right in the head; you know that, and dad was just as bad. We need to get out of here," I said
"I already told you, Jace, I am not going anywhere. If you want to leave, then leave," my mom said
"I am sorry, but we need to get to business. Jace, are you in or out? If not, the door is over there," Hanson said
"Mom, please," I pleaded.
"Just go, Jace," my mom growled, and I knew that her wolf was taking over
I walked over to the front door and opened it; I turned and looked at my mom one last time
"I love you, mom," I said, but she would spare me a glance or even look at me
I walked out the door, feeling the tears I was holding back finally escape my eyes. I had no one now. My dad and sister were dead, and my mom was working with the enemy. I needed to get to my Mate, my Lacy, and hopefully, we could start a new life together. Maybe we could live in a human town.
I had blocked our mate's link so she wouldn't be able to link me. I didn't want Derek to think Lacy knew anything. I opened my mind to her and instantly felt her pain from my being gone.
"Lacy," I linked.
"Jace," Lacy said, and then I felt a sharp pain in my back and then darkness.
