Ebony's POV

"Do you like this one?" Nancy asked

We were at the furniture store picking out new furniture for our room. Because our room was a whole floor, that meant that we had to pick furniture for every one of them. 

"I don't like that one. It doesn't look comfortable enough for her. Let's look at these over here," Keith said 

He took my hand and walked to the king-size beds with memory foam mattresses. 

"Go ahead and sit on it," Keith said, and I did. The mattress was so comfortable. 

I looked at the price and was shocked. It was over one thousand dollars.

"That is too expensive," I said. I didn't need a bed like that. 

"Nothing is too expensive for you. Look, it will adjust to both of our sizes for better comfort," Keith said

"I don't know, Keith," I started, but he cut in.

"It is not too much, and it will be comfortable. We are getting it," he said, and I didn't argue. Of course, it would be nice to have a comfortable bed. 

After that, we looked at the couches and other furniture for the family room. I ended up choosing a tan sectional and wooden coffee tables. Then we decided on a glass table that fits eight people for the living room. We also got wooden dressers and a nightstand for our room.

Nancy asked a lot of questions to get to know me. She was lovely and motherly. I was a bit overwhelmed because I was not used to having someone act like a mother to me, so it was a bit weird.

After we were done shopping, we went to a restaurant. We were all hungry from all the shopping. Nancy wanted to get Italian, so we went to a nice downtown Italian restaurant. I had never been there before because it was one of those expensive restaurants. Keith told me they owned the restaurant, and only Silver Moon Pack Members worked there.

"Hello, Luna Nancy and Alpha Keith," The host said 

"Hi, we need a table for three, Please," Nancy said, and the host took us to a booth.

"The server will be here soon," She said as she gave us all menus.

After a while, a female that looked to be about eighteen came over to us. I had never seen her before, so she didn't attend our school. 

"Hello Luna, Alpha Keith," She replied

"Hello Jenny," Nancy said

"What would you like to drink," Jenny asked. I didn't miss the way she was looking at Keith with lust. I also didn't miss how Keith tensed up at the sight of her.

"What would you like to drink, Love," He said to me, causing Jenny to look my way. She didn't even notice me until he spoke to me, and I could tell she didn't like him calling me Love by the way she was staring daggers at me.

"I will take a Dr. Pepper," I said

" So will I," Keith said, smiling at me.

" I will have an iced tea," Nancy said, and she left to get our drinks.

"Do you know what you would like to eat?" Keith asked

"Not really; I've never been here before. Is there Lasagna good?" I asked

"Yes, it is, but I like their chicken parmesan," Nancy said

"I will have a Lasagna as well and some Baked Spaghetti," Keith said

Jenny came back with our drinks, and we ordered our food. I was not too fond of the way she kept looking at Keith. I had a feeling that they had been intimate before or that she wanted to be. His body language told me that there had to have once been something between them.

"I will be back with your orders as soon as it is ready," Jenny said and left.

"I was thinking that we need to have a Pack Meeting to introduce Ebony to everyone as your mate and their future Luna since we had to cancel it the last time," Nancy said

"I think so too. We should do it tomorrow after school. If that is okay with you, Ebony," Keith said, looking at me.

"Okay," I said. I was nervous about having a meeting about Keith and me, but I knew it needed to be done.

"Great, I will arrange it all for tomorrow at five PM," Nancy. said

"Make sure that everyone knows it is mandatory to show up," Keith said

"Of course," She replied

"Here are your orders," Jenny said and placed our food in front of us and then left but not before sending Keith a seductive smile causing him to tense up again. Something definitely happened between the two of them.

We began to eat, and the food was good but not as good as my homemade Lasagna. Taking another bite, I put my hand in my mouth and pulled out a piece of glass.

"Are you okay?" Keith asked worriedly

"I bit down on glass while I was eating. It must have been in the food," I said

I picked up a napkin and wiped the blood off my face. Then, I looked at the Lasagna and noticed other pieces of glass. 

"It looks like there are more. How is that possible?" Nancy asked and went to talk to the supervisor.

I excused myself to rinse out my mouth. Once I was finished, I left the bathroom. On my way back to our table, I saw Keith talking to Jenny. I could tell they were having a heated conversation. I wanted to see what they were talking about but decided not to. 

I went back to the table to see a furious Nancy. But, when she saw me, she placed a smile on her face.

"Are you okay?" She asked

"Yes, I just don't know how glass could have gotten into my food," I replied

Keith came over to the table, looking just as upset. 

"Is your mouth hurting," he asked.

"It's sore from the glass, but I'm okay," I said with a smile.

"Everything has been taken care of, Luna Nancy and Keith. I am so sorry that you were hurt," The supervisor said and looked at me.

"I am fine," I replied

"I don't want anything like this happening again. It would help if you were careful who you employ," Luna Nancy growled.

"I know Luna Nancy. I am very sorry," 

We got up and left the restaurant. On our way out, I saw Jenny being escorted by some of the Silver Moon Warriors out of the restaurant. I wondered what she could have done for that to happen, and then it occurred to me. She was the one that put the glass in my food. 

I looked over at Keith, whose hand wrapped around my shoulder, while we walked to the car. I knew that she had done it because I was Keith's mate.
