Ebony's POV

We made it back to the Red Moon Pack in about an hour. Keith had someone drop a car off for us so we could drive back to the Red Moon Pack's Packhouse. On our way back, Keith told me that the Rogues were lying, and Ethan, Nathan, and he offered for the Rogue family to stay in the Packhouse. The warriors were out looking for the Rogues but couldn't find them. 

"Are you sure you are alright, My Love?' Keith asked me for the thousandth time.

"Yes, Baby. I am fine. I am so sorry that I left the way that I did. I should never have gone with them alone," I said

"I am just happy you are back and safe in my arms," Keith said and wrapped his arms around me. "But you better not ever do anything like that again," he said

"I promise I won't." 

Keith, Ebony," Ethan said as we walked inside the Packhouse. I looked up and was shocked to see Abby standing next to Ethan and Nathan.

"Abby, what are you doing here?" I asked

"I needed to talk to you about something important," Abby said

"What is it?" Keith asked

"Something is coming, and you need to be prepared for it," Abby said 

"What is coming?" I asked

"War."

"You are going to have to tell us more than that," Keith said

"The Queen has gathered a lot of followers as well as some of the Royal Council Members. She knows the Werewolf Community is on your side and wants you to be Queen. Now she plans on getting rid of the competition. They plan on attacking Silvermoon in two weeks," Abby said

"Why would she attack when she doesn't have enough Werewolves on her side? You just said most of the Werewolf Community is on Ebony's side," Keith replied

"The Queen hasn't just gathered Werewolves to fight. She also has vampires and Dark witches that are coming as well," Abby said.

"We need to gather all the warriors to ensure we are prepared. I will call Alpha Michael and let him know what is going on," Keith said

"We will also fight by your side. We have your backs," Ethan said, and Nathan nodded, 

"Yes, we will send some of our warriors back with you to Silvermoon. 

"Thank you," Keith replied

"There is one more thing I need to tell you. There is only one that can save us all. Ebony must fight with you in this war. If she doesn't, we will lose," Abby said

"No, Ebony will not be fighting," Keith growled. I placed my hand on him, and he looked at me. "Keith, you heard what she said. I have to fight, or we all will die," I said. Keith closed his eyes and sighed before opening them again. 

"How do you know that Ebony can save us all?" Keith asked

"Because I have seen it in my vision. I saw two visions earlier. One where Ebony didn't fight, and we lost. The other is where Ebony did fight, and she defeats Alice. We need to get her ready for battle," Abby said

"We only have two weeks. How am I going to get ready so soon?" I asked. I had been training for months now. I didn't know how I would be able to defeat not only werewolves but Vampires and witches too. 

"I know someone that can help you get prepared. I have already called them, and she is on her way to Silvermoon," Abby said.

"Who is it?" Keith asked

"An old friend. She used to live with me before I moved to your Pack. She is a powerful Witch," Abby said. We talked for a little while longer, and then she left to meet her friend back at Silvermoon. 

When we went to the guestroom, we were staying in the Red Moon Pack. I couldn't help but think about everything that had happened. I wondered if we could trust Alissa. I wasn't sure we could because of everything she did to me. Did she save me from Alistar so that she could trick me into trusting her? Was all of this Alice and her Plan to make me put my guard down so Alissa could play me like she did when Alice kidnaped me? 

I didn't know what to think. I also wondered if what the Rogues told me about Jacob was true. Did he see Alice while staying with us at the Silvermoon Pack? I didn't know what to think and felt so confused.

"What are you thinking about, My Love," Keith asked. We were lying in bed, his arms wrapped around me while my head lay on his chest. "I was wondering if we could trust Jacob and Alissa. Was everything the Rogue told me a lie or did Jacob visit Alice after she escaped the Palace?" I said, and Keith sighed

"Jacob told me that he was seeing Alice after she escaped, but the last time he saw her was before Alistar helped Alissa escape," Keith said. I couldn't help but feel hurt. Jacob still went to see her even after what she did to me. I felt Keith pull me closer to him. 

"I know it hurts, My Love, but you know it is hard for Mates to be away from each other. I am not saying what he did was right, but I believe him when he says he had nothing to do with her trying to make Alissa Queen. I am sure he wants you to have the throne," Keith said. I thought about it and knew he was right. It must be hard not to see your Mate. I still was upset with Jacob and knew I would need some time away from him for a while. 

"I need some time away from him. I know Alice is his Mate, but I am his daughter, and it hurts knowing he was spending time with her knowing what she did to me," I replied. I could feel Keith tense up and knew he was thinking about the whip marks that were on my back from Alice beating me with a whip. 

"I understand, My Love. I will tell him you need time away from him," Keith said.

"Thanks," I replied and kissed his chest, causing him to shiver. 

"As far as Alissa goes. I don't trust her one bit. I don't want her anywhere near you."
