Werewolf
Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 165
Ebony's POV
"You sound so good up there, Love," Keith said with a bouquet in his hand.
"Thank you," I said as I took them out of his hand.
The choir performance had just finished, and everything went well. Most cheered when my solo was done, Nancy being the loudest out of everyone. I was shocked when I heard her screaming in the audience. Keith told me his mom and dad planned to come, but it was weird because my mom had never gone to any of my performances. Add her cheering me on, and I didn't know what to do.
"Your voice is amazing, sweetheart," Edward said with a smile.
"Thank you," I said
"We need to celebrate. Let's go out to dinner tonight," Nancy said
"That sounds great; what do you think, Love," Keith asked, looking at me.
"Sure," I said, and we headed out of the school.
Nancy, Brandon, and Raven road together while Keith and I road in his car. I looked out of the window while Keith drove the car, soft music playing in the background. Suddenly, Keith placed his hand on mine, making sparks go through it. I looked over at him, and he was looking in front, focusing on driving.
"Did you like the flowers?" he asked.
"Yes, they are beautiful and smell wonderful," I replied
"You are beautiful," he said, causing butterflies to form in my chest.
We soon arrived at a restaurant that was downtown. It was an Italian restaurant that the humans owned. Keith quickly got out of the car and over to my side to open my door.
"Thank you," I said
"Of course," he replied and placed his hand in mine as we walked with his parents and Raven into the restaurant.
"How many," the hostess, that was around Keith's age, asked.
"Five, please," Edward said, and the hostess took us to a table.
She placed a menu in front of each of us. I didn't miss the flirtatious smile on her face when she was by Keith.
"You waitress will be here shortly," she said and walked away.
"So Ebony, do you have any other family besides your mother?" Edward asked while we waited
"No, it has always been just the two of us," I said
"What about your father?" he asked.
"Never met him. He left right after I was born," I said
"So they weren't mates?" Nancy asked
"They were, but he decided to leave because I was a girl," I said
"Do you know his name? When your mother asked to be accepted into our Pack, she never told me anything about where you two were from or who your father was," Edward said, and I looked at him in surprise. My mother always told me that we were from Silver Moon.
"What do you mean? Wasn't she from Silver Moon?" I asked, and he looked at Keith.
Before he could respond, the waitress showed up. She was around Keith's age and was tall with long brown hair and brown eyes. As soon as she was by our table, her eyes went to Keith, and she began to smile at him.
"Hello, my name is Courtney, and I will be your waitress tonight. What can I get for you," she said, not taking her eyes off Keith.
Everyone gave her their order, and she wrote it down without taking her eyes off Keith. I was starting to get pissed off but tried to keep it inside. She was a human and didn't know anything about the mate bond.
"I will be back with your order," she said, her eyes still on Kieth. Finally, she left, and I was relieved. I didn't know how much longer I could stay calm.
We talked for a while until the food was done. When the waitress returned, she placed everyone's plate on the table, but not in the right place. The only order that she remembered was Keith's.
"I am so sorry," she said and laughed, her eyes still on Keith. She placed her hand on his shoulder, and I lost it.
"WELL, MAYBE IF YOU WOULD STOP FLIRTING WITH MY MAN, YOU WOULDN'T HAVE MIXED UP EVERYONE'S ORDER BUT HIS. YOU NEED TO KEEP YOUR NASTY HANDS OFF BECAUSE HE IS MINE," I screamed while standing from my seat, causing the waitress to freeze from shock.
I looked around, and everyone in the restaurant looked at me with shocked expressions. I sat back in my chair, closed my eyes, and breathed to calm myself. When I opened my eyes, the waitress was still standing in the same place.
"That should have been your queue to leave," Raven said, and the girl walked away.
I looked at everyone at our table and saw them all smiling. When I looked at Keith, I noticed that same smile on his face. He placed his hand on mine, calming me completely, causing sparks to go through me.
"You are right, Love; I am yours," he said, and I couldn't help the blush that came on my face.
