Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 96

Derek's POV

"Hello, Derek. Nice to see you again though I wished it would be under better circumstances," Alpha Chase says. 

"I agree; thank you for allowing us to check your Territory," I replied

"No problem; I have some trackers to help you if you need them. I have some business to take care of, but if you need anything, just let me know," He said 

"Okay, thanks, man," I said, and he left.

Joyce took the compass out and handed it to me. 

"What do we do now?" I asked, looking at Joyce.

"You need to follow where it takes you. That's the way you will find Rose. It would help if you hurried because we need to get her back to the Pack House. She is not in a good state because they have drugged her with wolfsbane," Joyce said

"How do you know that? You seem to know a lot but didn't know she was on this Territory," I said accusingly.

"You know I have seen the future but not everything. I knew that Cheryl would kidnap her, but I didn't know when and I knew she would drug her, but I didn't know where she was keeping her," Joyce Replied

"But you could have told us that she would be Kidnapped again. I could have avoided it," I growled.

"I can't give you too much information. It could make things worse, and we could lose the battle," Joyce replied

"You are not telling us what you know can also cause us to lose," Aunt Lil said.

"We need to go get Rose. We will discuss this later," Max said, and I knew he was right. If Rose had wolfbane in her system, it could hurt Rose and the babies. 

"Let's find Rose, but this conversation isn't over," I said, and I looked at the compass, and we all followed where it was leading me.

Rose's POV

I woke up with a massive headache. My vision was blurry, and I barely had any energy to move. I was confused until everything came back to me. I remember going to the club with Kate and my brothers and then going to the bathroom and feeling something sharp; the rest is unclear after that. 

I looked around and saw that I was in a bedroom that I had never seen with a needle in my arm. I tried to sit up but was too weak. I used my hand to take the needle out of my skin. I knew that whatever liquid was in there was the reason for my weakness.

"You are finally awake. How are you feeling, Rose," I heard a woman say.

I looked up and saw the same gold eye lady that kidnapped me the first time. I knew that it was Grandma Joyce's sister Cheryl. Chloe was standing next to her, glaring at me. 

"Let me go," I said

"I'm afraid I can't do that," Cheryl said

"Why not?" I asked

"I want you to join sides with me. Together we can take over all the Realms," Cheryl said

"I would never join you," I whispered. I was feeling so weak it was hard to talk.

"Why? Because of your family, or is it because of your mate?" She asked

"Both and the fact that you are evil," I said

"I am not evil, Rose. I am just trying to get what I deserve," She replied

"By betraying your sister. Grandma Joyce told me everything," I said

"And you believe her. She abandoned your mother and Chloe," 

"She didn't have a choice, and you are the one that gave my mom and your own daughter away," I replied

"That is not true. They are lying to you," 

"I don't believe you," I said

"I am not the one who kept your true identity from you. Your mom hid everything from you. And your so-called mate didn't even think to wait for you. So why would you want to be on their side?" Cheryl asked. I could tell she was trying to confuse me so that I would change sides. 

"At least my mom didn't give me away as you did to your daughter. What's worse is that you gave her to a Pack that you knew would abuse her," I replied

"Don't talk to her like that," Chloe said and smacked me hard. She was looking at me with pure hatred.

"You don't know what you are talking about. Joyce is the one that gave us away," Chloe said

I looked and saw Cheryl smirking at me. So this is what she wanted. To make Chloe believe that Grandma Joyce was the one that did everything.

"She is lying, Chloe," I started, but she smacked me again. 

"Don't you dare say anything else about my mother? Joyce is the cause for everything. If you say anything else about her, I will kill you," Chloe snarled and walked out of the room.

I looked at Cheryl, who was still smirking at me. 

"You better watch your mouth, little girl. I am trying to give you a chance to be on our side, but if you become a problem, then I will have to kill you," She said, opening the door to leave.

"Derek will find me," I said, and she started to laugh

"Derek is probably fucking some other girl. Maybe he decided to take Vivian back. We did leave her there, and that was who he thought he would be mated to. If I was you, I would stop thinking about him. Remember, If he would have cared about you, then he would have waited for you," She said and walked out of the door, shutting it behind her.

I tried to get up but was still too weak. I started thinking about my babies and what effect the wolfbane would have on them. I needed to figure out a way to get out of there soon.
