Werewolf
Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 269
Ebony's POV
"I am so happy you are alright. Keith told me what happened, and you shouldn't have left without telling anyone," Nancy said as she hugged me. We had just arrived back in Silvermoon. I hadn't seen Jacob or Alissa since two nights ago when he and Keith were arguing outside of Red Moon's Packhouse. Jacob had decided to leave Red Moon and return to Silvermoon the following day. HE told KEith he wanted to give me time and space, and hopefully, we could talk when I returned.
I was happy because I needed the space from both of them. I was mad at Jacob for seeing Alice and lying to me about it, and I was angry at Alissa for her involvement in my kidnapping. While I still believed Jacob was on my side, I didn't know if he could fight against Alice because she was his Mate. I was worried because she was planning on killing me or having someone else do the job for her. Could I trust that if he needed to, Jacob would be able to kill Alice, or would he choose to kill me instead? As far as Alissa, I didn't trust her at all.
"I know I shouldn't have left without saying anything to Keiht. I put myself in danger and could have been killed. Keith and I spoke about what I did, and I promised him I would never do anything like that again," I said.
"We need to speak to you about something. How about we go up to Ebony and my floor so we can talk privately? Mark and Raven will be meeting us there as well," Keith said.
"Okay, Let's go," Edward said, and we all walked up to Keith and my floor. Mark and Raven were already waiting at the front door when we arrived. We all went into Keith and my room and sat at the dining room table.
"While we were away at Red Moon, Abby showed up and told us that something bad was going to happen and we needed to be prepared," Keith said.
"What's coming, Son?" Edward asked
"War. Abby told us that the Queen is planning on coming here with some werewolfves, vampires, and dark witches," Keith replied
"Why would she be working with Vampires and Witches and want to start a war?" Nancy asked
"Because she wants me gone. She wants me killed so that Alissa can become Queen. She knows that most of the Werewolf Community is still on my side even after she made those videos trying to get them to change sides because of who my mother is and how Keith treated me in the past. The thing is, most still want me to take over as Queen because they want change in the Werewolf Community. Now Alice feels she needs to kill me to get what she wants," I replied.
"That is crazy. Didn't Jacob tell you that no one else could be Queen?" Edward asked
"Yes. No one has the power to take over, no matter if the firstborn is a girl or boy unless they are the firstborn. Jacob told me I was the first girl that had been first and to someone that wasn't the King's Mate, but that didn't matter. It is still my birthright to become Queen," I replied.
"So what do we do now?" Nancy asked
"Ebony will train. Abby has a friend that can make sure she is ready. We were going to go talk to her later on, to make sure her friend is still coming," Keith said
"What about King Jacob? He can help you prepare," Edward asked.
"Well, you see, while we were away, something happened," I said
"What happened?" Nancy asked
"When I went with the Rogues to find Alice's location, they told me that he had been seeing Alice in private. Even after Alice kidnapped me, they didn't stop seeing each other until Alistar helped Alissa escape," I replied.
"Oh, Ebony. I am sorry. I know it must hurt hearing he was still seeing her," Nancy said
"Yeah, it did. But it also has me questioning if I can trust him to help us win this war. I don't know if he will be able to fight against her because they are Mates. What if he turns on me instead?" I asked
"I understand. I wouldn't trust him either," Raven said
"I believe we need to send Jacob and Alissa away. We don't have time to worry about what they would do. Especially now that we know Alice is coming here in two weeks to kill me. We need to have only who we trust here, and Jacob and Alissa are not trustworthy at the moment," I said
"I think that is a good idea. Do you want to tell him or me?" Keith asked.
"I will tell him. I have some stuff I need to get off of my chest before they leave. I also think we should send most of the Royal Pack warriors back because we don't know who is working with Alice. I am sure she still has spies here. The Royal Packs Guards and warriors were loyal to her for so long. I am sure most of them are on her side," I replied. There were too many instances where someone from the Royal Pack's Guards was told to watch, and they ended up getting away. I was sure most of them were on the Queen's side. I didn't need anyone I thought was fighting by Keith and my side to stab us in the back. No pun intended.
"I agree with you, My Love. We need to make sure whoever is fighting beside us is truly on our side," Keith said.
"We already have the Red Moon Pack on our side. I want to call every Pack we have treaties with and invite them to come here in two days. I was going to tell them there was something important I needed to discuss with them. I don't know if inviting Blue Moon is a good idea because that is the Pack Alice has been hiding in all this time," Keith said
"That's a good idea, son, and I wouldn't invite Blue Moon if they let her hide there. That means they are most likely on the Queen's side," Edward said.
"I am going to talk to Jacob and Alissa and get this over with," I said and stood from my seat.
