Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 118

Rose's POV

"Are you sure I look okay in this?" I asked

"You look beautiful, Rose," Kate said

"I look fat," I mumbled

"You are pregnant, not fat, and you look amazing," Kayla said

We were getting ready to go out to some club that Derek chose. He and Jace used to hand out there all the time. I didn't care which one we went to as long as I got to be with Derek.

My problem was finding an outfit that fit me properly. Since the babies are growing faster than a human pregnancy, I am also getting bigger. I go shopping constantly but usually for comfy clothing, blue jeans, and t-shirts. I have some dressy attire for events Derek and I have to go to as Alpha and Luna, but none of them are for clubbing. 

"I feel like this dress is too small," I said

I had on a pink strapless short dress. It looked pretty, but I didn't feel it fit me right.

"Why do you think that?" Lacy asked

"Because my stomach is showing," I said, turning for her to see what I was talking about

"Rose, you are pregnant; it's supposed to show," Kate said

"You look good, I swear," Lacy said

I looked at myself in the mirror and realized they were right. I was just worried about what people would think about me being pregnant. I was a high school student that just turned eighteen today. Though werewolves got pregnant by their mates all the time at my age, some humans would look at it as too young and judge me because of it. I wasn't ashamed but didn't want anyone to say anything wrong about me or my unborn babies.

Once we were all ready, we met Derek and Jace outside in front of the Pack House. Derek was wearing black dress pants and a blue button-up shirt, looking good like always. 

"You looked beautiful, Flower," Derek said as he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close to him. 

"Thank You," I said 

"Okay, enough of that, let's go before," Kate said, and Derek growled in annoyance.

"What's wrong with her?" He asked, and I shrugged

I knew Kate had been stressing since she found out the twin Alpha from Red Moon were her mates and had kept it a secret. They are still on our territory and have been visiting her at school.

Derek wanted to kick them out because he felt their reason for being here wasn't good, but I convinced him to let them stay. I knew that Kate wanted them around, even if she didn't want to admit it. Once they get to know each other, I'm sure everything will work out.

Derek opened the passenger side door for me, and I got in. He went over to the driver's side and got in as well. Kate and Kayla drove with us while Jace and Lacy drove their car. I asked Jason if he wanted to come with Deserae, but he said no and that they were trying to get to know each other.

When we got to the club, we found a table and sat. 

"You want to dance?" Derek asked, and I nodded

We got up and went to the dance floor. I had fun the whole night laughing and dancing with Derek. I also had fun with my friends, but if Derek didn't come with me, I would have been miserable the entire night.

"I have to go to the bathroom," I said 

"I will go with you," Kate said, and we both stood from our seats and went to the restroom.

"I am happy you came with me tonight," Kate said while we were washing our hands.

"I am happy, but I wouldn't have been if Derek wasn't with me," I said truthfully.

"I know, you two are lucky not to have a complicated relationship. You two are perfect together," Kate said

"Did you forget all the girls that came up to me because your brother was a manwhore?" I asked, and Kate rolled her eyes

"I guess, but at least he isn't a crazy killer, and there is only one of him," She said

"You need to get to know them, Kate. They might not be as bad as you think," I said 

"Maybe let's stop talking about this. Today is about you, not me. It's your eighteen birthday," Kate said, smiling.

We were about to walk out the door, but then we heard someone enter the bathroom. I looked up and saw Jace's mom standing in front of us with a gun in her hand.

"I wouldn't try anything if I were you. The bullets are laced with wolfbane. Come with me," Veronica said 

Kate and I walked in front while Veronica walked behind us with the gun pointed to our backs.
