Werewolf
Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 113
Lilly's POV
"Congratulations on your daughter becoming Luna. You must be proud," One of the Pack Members said
"Yes, I am very proud," I replied
I looked over at my daughter, who was dancing with Derek. I could tell she was happy, and that made me happy. I still can't believe that my daughter is fully mated and Luna. It feels like it was just yesterday that she played in her room with her dolls.
Michael decided to barbeque for the entire pack after their run. All the Pack Members were happy celebrating my daughter and Dereks Crowning as Alpha and Luna.
"Why are you sitting alone?" Joyce asked, and then she sat next to me.
"Just thinking about everything that has happened. I am happy we defeated the evil and won the battle," I said happily.
I saw Joyce's body become tense from my words
"What wrong?" I asked
"We can talk about it later," Joyce said
"No, tell me now," I replied, and she waited a minute before responding
"The battle isn't over," Joyce said
"What do you mean? Rose defeated Marcus,"
"Marcus was just the beginning,"
"There are others after Rose?" I asked
"Rose isn't the only one of your children they are after. You need to tell Jason what he is,"
Rose's POV
"Mind if I cut in," my dad asked as Derek and I were dancing
"Not at all," Derek said and stepped aside, letting my dad dance with me
"You are so beautiful," my dad said
"Thanks," I replied
"I never thought I would get a chance to dance with you on your special day. You have no idea how happy I am right now," he said
"I used to say I didn't care that you weren't around, but I always wanted a father. I used to get jealous of the other kids whose fathers would take them to the father-daughter dance or spend time with them," I said
"I am here now, and I'm not going anywhere. I am so proud of you," my dad said, smiling.
We danced until the song ended, and then I danced with Jason, James, Max, and Uncle Michael. I could feel Derek getting impatient through our bond as they took turns dancing with me.
After the music ended, Derek came over to me as I danced with his father. Uncle Michael laughed at Derek's reaction, and Aunt Lisa came over and joined in.
"Calm down, your father just wanted to dance with our daughter-in-law," Aunt Lisa said, and she and Uncle Michael started dancing.
Derek grabbed my hand and took me over to an empty table. He sat down and gestured for me to sit on his lap, which I did without hesitation. He kissed me lightly and then sniffed my hair before putting a light kiss on my neck where his mark was.
"Finally, nobody can take you away from me," Derek said
Kate and Kayla came over to our table, and I could feel Derek getting annoyed as they sat down.
"Calm down, baby," I mind-linked him.
"I just want a moment with you alone, and everyone keeps messing with us." He linked back.
I had to hold back my laugh from him sounding like a child.
"Don't worry, tonight it will just be you and me," I linked, and our parents joined us at the table.
"It is crazy that our children would become mates, Lil," Aunt Lisa said
"Yes, it is. Who would have thought that would happen," My mom replied
"I wish the two of you would stay in the Packhouse at least until you have the babies. I keep telling you you will have a lot on your hands once they get here. If you stay here, we would be close enough to help at all times," Aunt Lisa said
"Mom, you are acting like we are moving far away from you. We will be only five minutes away," Derek replied
"I don't understand why you don't want to stay here," Aunt Lisa said
"We just want to be alone and have some space," I said
An hour later, everyone started to leave; it was almost 1 AM, so the children had been in bed for hours.
"You ready to go to our room?" Derek asked
"Yeah," I replied
Derek and I said goodbye to our family and headed toward our room.
"Are you tired?" He asked as we walked
"Not really,"
"Good, because you won't be getting any sleep tonight," Derek said, causing my core to tighten from excitement.
"Sleep is overrated," I replied, and he picked me up bridal style and ran to our room.
Jason's POV
"Have you found out anything?" I asked Uncle Michael. We had walked close to the woods, away from everyone.
"No, I don't understand how you are still alive. When that Vampire bit you, you should have died.
That was what I was afraid of—not knowing how I was still alive after being bit. But, of course, everyone knew that a vampire's bite was lethal to werewolves.
"I think you need to talk to your mother. You said that Cindy told you that your mother knows something. We need to figure out what that is. You are the only werewolf that has ever lived after a vampire bite, and it didn't leave a scar," Uncle Michael said
I knew he was right. I needed to ask my mom what she was hiding from me. I needed answers, and I needed them now.
"I am going to talk to her in the morning. It is late I am going to bed," I said, and we parted ways.
I just hoped that whatever my mom hid from me wouldn't change anything between us.
