Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 38

Derek's POV

"Hi, son! Is everything ok?" My dad asked as I walked into his office

"I don't know honestly, I wanted to talk to you about something" I replied

"Come in and have a seat," He said and I walked into his office and sat across from him.

 "What's on your mind son?"

"I have been having problems with Vivian since she came back. You remember what happened at the school?" I asked him and he nodded

"Well yesterday she came to the training field and I believe it was to make Rose think something was going on between us." 

"You're probably right son. Her father never got over the fact that you two aren't mates. I wouldn't be surprised if he has put her up to it" He said

"I have warned her to leave Rose alone, but she keeps trying to get between us. I honestly want to ban her from this pack but you are the only one that can do that because you are still Alpha. I feel she will never stop trying to separate me and rose." I said

I looked over at my father who had a strange look on his face. I knew he was deep in thought

"What's wrong father?" I asked him

"I have been talking to Alpha Edward about some things that I have found concerning. You know how we believed that Vivan had gone to Silvermoon Pack when she had first left?"

"Yeah"

"Well, Edward told me that was all for show. Beta Jacob asked him to say that she was staying there if anyone asked. it was supposed to be for her safety."

"Safety from what?"

"Edward didn't know. He said Beta Jacob never went into details. He just said she was in danger," My father replied

"Why did Edward come to you after two years?" I asked confused

"He said that once Rose and Lilly showed up, Beta Jacob had been acting strangely. He said one day he showed up to their Pack and was talking nonsense about Rose being a dark witch that placed a spell on you to make you think she is your mate. He told them that Rose stole you from Vivian and that you and Vivian are really fated mates. He also told them that he would do anything to get rid of Rose." My father said, causing me to gasp

"How dare he threaten his future Luna. He needs to be prosecuted at once" I said to my father angrily. I stood up to go get the traitor but my father stopped me

"I know you are angry and so am I, But there is more that you should know." He said and I went back to my seat. He sat down as well before starting

"Beta Jacob has been having secret meetings with Chloe. Which we found out from the undercover Pact Member also. He overheard one of their conversations about using Chloe to make you believe that Vivian is your mate."

I couldn't help the growl that came out of my mouth.

"That would never happen. Why would they think that Chloe would be able to make me think that?" I asked as the door to his office opened

In walked Keith, Edward, and Max. 

"Because she casted the same spell on me, to make me think she was my mate" Max said as they all walked into the office.

There were a lot of questions going through my mind. How could Chloe make Max believe that shv e was his mate? Then it all became clear to me.

"Chloe is a Dark Witch," I said

It was the only answer that made sense. Dark Witches were the only ones that would do something so horrible. The mate bond is the most sacred bond in the werewolf community.  Only a Dark Witch would be so cruel.

They all nodded their heads confirming that I was correct. Now everything made sense. I always thought Max and Chloe's relationship was strange. They didn't act like mates did. So I can't say I'm surprised.

"Edward, Max , Alpha Keith thanks for coming." My father said

"You know not to call me Alpha, Alpha Michael," Keith said with a smile

"I know son, just trying to be professional" My dad said

We all started laughing and then all took seats in his office.

"I have asked you all here to discuss this issue with Chloe and Beta Jacob. As you all heard, I have filled my son in with the information. I think he needs to know what is going on."

"Of course," Max said

"What are we going to do about Chloe, Vivian, and Beta Jacob?" I asked getting to the point

"Well I was thinking that we needed to act like we don't know anything. I believe they are up to more than what we know. We don't know how many are involved in their plan. Hell we don't even know the whole plan yet." My father said

"You want to let Jacob and Vivian stay here ?" I asked shocked

"Yes! I also believe that you need to inform Rose of what we know so far. I also think that it is time for you to become Alpha. You have found your mate and Luna. I have already talked to your mother and Lilly and they are both ready to help her with planning for the mating ceremony" My dad said

I couldn't help the smile that crept to my lips. My dad was handing me the Alpha title. This was something I have been waiting for my whole life. I just needed to talk to Rose and make sure that she would be ok with being Luna. 

I remembered our talk about the mating ceremony. She was uncomfortable with the mating in front of the Pack Members. I wouldn't make her do anything she was uncomfortable with and planned to talk to her once I left my father's office.

"I will talk to Rose about everything once we are done here," I replied

"Good! Your mother will need to train her for the Luna Position to make sure she is ready. I am sure she will do great." He said

I couldn't help but agree. She will be perfect

"I will go talk to her now father. Excuse me everyone" I said and they nodded

I walked out of my fathers office and made my way up to me and Rose's room.
