Ebony's POV

"Ow," I said as Keith penned me down on the ground with his hands. He stood up, and so did I. He attacked me out of nowhere and pinned me down again. 

"You need to focus, Ebony. It looks like you have something else on your mind," I looked up and saw Jacob observing me. He was right, and I did have something else on my mind or someone else. It had been three days since Alissa went missing, and there was still no sign of her. 

"How can I focus when Alissa is still missing?" I said, and Keith and Jacob looked at each other. 

"I know, and we are looking everywhere for her. We also need to make sure that you are safe as well. And the best way to do that is to teach you how to fight and figure out what your abilities are," Jacob said

"I know, and I will try better to concentrate," I said 

"King Jacob, we need to speak to you," One of the guards said. 

"Okay, I will be there in a moment," Jacob said, and the guard left.

"Keep practicing, and I will be back shortly," Jacob said 

'Okay," I said, and he left. 

"Come sit with me for a moment, My Love," Keith said, and we both sat in the grass.

"I understand that you are really worried about Alissa. Your father is doing everything to find her, so try to relax," Keith said, and I let out a breath.

"I know I need to calm down, but I can't stop thinking about Alissa. The last time I saw her, she was leaving with Alice. I don't understand how she is missing. Did someone take her after she talked to her mom? Did she go to a friend's house like her mom says she probably did? I don't know, and that is getting to me," I said.

 I was really worried about Alissa. Something didn't seem right to me about this whole situation. I didn't get why Alice was walking around like everything was okay when it wasn't. You would think that her mother would be worried. 

"Ebony," I heard Jacob say, and I looked over at him. "They found Alissa. She is in the Pack Hospital, and they said she is unharmed," Jacob said 

"Really," I asked and stood quickly off the grass.

"Yes. Let's go see her," Jacob said, and Keith and I followed him to the Pack Hospital. When we got there, I was shocked to see Alissa lying on a bed watching tv with a smile on her face. 

"Hey, why are you all looking like that?" Alissa asked with a confused look on her face. I couldn't help but run over to her and hug her tightly. 

"Um, Ebony. I can't breathe," Alissa said

"What happened to you? I was worried sick," I asked.

"She went to her friend Mel's house. I told you that she was just at her friend's house," Alice said, walking out of the bathroom that was attached to the room. 

"Why would you leave like that? You worried us all to death," Jacob said

"I am sorry, daddy. Mel had a party, and I wanted to go," Alissa said 

"For three days. You didn't even tell me you were leaving. You just left me in your room," I said 

It didn't seem right to me. For some reason, I felt like Alissa wasn't telling me the truth. Why would she keep me in her room all night and stay at a friend's house for three days after the party? 

"I am sorry that I worried all of you. I just wanted to have some fun," Alissa said, moving the hair that fell on her face behind her ear. I could see a big bruise on the top of her forehead. 

"How did you get that bruise?" I asked, and she looked at me, confused

"What bruise?" She asked

"The one on your forehead," I said. Jacob walked over to where I was standing and looked at it too.

"Yeah, that is a big bruise. What happened?" He asked. Alissa went to the mirror and moved her hair to look at the bruise.

"I honestly don't know what happened. I don't remember," She said 

"It looks painful, and why would you still have a bruise on your face?" Jacob asked

"I don't know what happened. Can I go now, though? I was on my way home, and the guards brought me here saying that you were looking for me," Alissa said 

"I think we need to check some things. You shouldn't bruise like that because you are a werewolf. We need to make sure you were not given anything like Wolfsbane. I am going to have the Doctor check your blood," Jacob said and went to get the Doctor.

I looked over at Alice, who looked worried about something. I didn't think too much of it because she was probably worried about Alissa being given something that could hurt her.
