Ebony's POV

"Are you okay, Love," Keith asked once we arrived back at the Palace.

"Yes, I am fine," I said 

"I can't believe Thomas would come up to her," Jacob said 

"I told you that you should have killed him and the others instead of letting them leave," Alice said 

"Thomas," Keith said

"Thomes is the man that tried to hurt Ebony in the restroom today at the restaurant. If I didn't get  her in time, there is no telling what he would have done," Alice said 

"HE wasn't trying to hurt me. He just wanted to talk to me," I said, and Alice began to laugh.

"Thomas is a traitor and dangerous," Alice said 

"What do you mean?" Keith asked

"I don't think we need to discuss this right now. I am just happy he was caught," Jacob said 

"No, I think Ebony needs to know how dangerous this man is since she doesn't think he wanted to hurt her," Alice said to Jacob and then turned to look at me. "Thomas tried to rape me the night your mom left the Pack with you," Alice said 

"That is why I sent him away," Jacob said 

"You saw him do it?" I asked Jacob

"NO, but I believe my Mate and what she says happened," Jacob said

"He said he knows my grandparents," I asked.

"They were also kicked out when Thomas was. They believed that I was lying, and your father got rid of them," Alice said 

"I also believed they knew where your mother took you. They wouldn't tell me anything," Jacob said 

"My mom never told me about her parents, and I never met them. I don't think they knew where I was," I replied

"They might not have known where you were, but they still thought it was alright for someone to try and hurt their Queen," Alice said 

"I think we all should go rest. It has been a long day. Come on, Alice, let's go to our room. We will see all of you later at dinner," Jacob said, and they walked to their room. 

I was shocked by everything that happened today. I had grandparents that were kicked out of the Pack. Alice said it was because they didn't believe Alice was lying about being raped. But, to be honest, something inside me kept telling me that she was lying.

"I am going to go to my room as well. I will see you guys at dinner," Alissa said 

"Okay," I replied, and she left. 

"Are you okay, My Love? You seem to be deep in thought," Keith asked. We were sitting in the family room on our floor, watching the news. 

"I can't stop thinking about what happened today with Thomas," I said 

"I am happy they caught him. Don't worry, My Love, he won't get away with trying to hurt you," Keith said 

"That's the thing. I don't think he was going to hurt me. I think he was trying to warn me about Alice. I didn't tell you this, but yesterday, when we went and grabbed some food, a woman told me to watch out for Alice. She said Alice wanted me gone and out of the way so Alissa could be Queen. She said that Alice was evil and that only my dad didn't see it because they are Mates," I said

"Why didn't you tell me this yesterday?" Keith asked

"I didn't want to worry you. I believe Thomas and the lady. When Alice talked to me, I could sense that she was lying somehow. I know Thomas never touched her," I said 

"What do you mean by sensed it?" Keith asked

"I don't know. I just could tell she was lying," I replied

"I don't like this, Ebony. She is the Queen, and I am sure it is easy for her to get someone to hurt you if she wants. I think we should go home," Keith said 

"We can't go home yet, Keith. I can't let her get away with hurting everyone. She even got my grandparents kicked out of the Pack. I need to prove to Jacob that she is a liar. There is no telling what else she has done," I said, and Keith looked at me. I could tell he was thinking about what we should do.

"Fine, we will stay, but I am going to help you figure all of this out. But you have to stay with me at all times. I don't want you going anywhere alone because if what you are saying is true, then there is no telling what she will do to you or have someone else do. You have to promise me that you will not leave my side," Keith said
