Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 292

Ebony's POV

The sun was shining, and I was in a field full of different types of flowers. "How did I get here?" I wondered. It was so peaceful, and a part of me wanted to stay in the field forever. But there was another part of me that felt like I was missing something, but for some reason, I forgot what that something was.

Suddenly, everything began to come back to me all at once. I remembered all of the pain I had been through in how my mother treated me. All the pain most of the Pack Members caused me. The pain that my Mate had caused me for years. I could feel tears escaping my eyes.

"Oh, Dear Child. Please don't cry." I looked up to see a gorgeous woman standing in front of me. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I am the Goddess Selene, child."

'YOu are the Moon Goddess?" I asked, shocked.

"Yes, I am." 

"Am I dead?" I asked, remembering that my mother had stabbed me in my back. It hurt knowing that the woman that had given birth to me would do something like that. 

"No. You are not dead. At least not yet," The Moon Goddess, Selene, said.

"What do you mean by giving me a choice?" I asked

"I have put you through a lot in your little life so far. For that, I am sorry, but I want you to know that it was for a good reason. Everything you have been through has made you who you are today. You are a kind, loving, and caring girl that would do anything for the ones she loves. You care about everyone, even those who have been cruel to you. I knew you would be a caring person, and that is why I made you go through all that." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The Moon Goddess was telling me that she meant for my life to be so terrible. 

"You mean, you made me have a mother that would treat me like dirt and Pack MEmbers that were cruel to me because I was a good person? You meant for me to be mistreated?" I asked

"I am sorry, but yes, that is what I did. But like I told you, it was all for a good reason. As you know, all of the werewolves are my children. I could see most of my children were becoming selfish and greedy. They started treating wolves with lower ranks horribly. They didn't care if they were children or not. When your father and his Mate met, I thought he would make the right decisions and change things, but I was terribly wrong. I mated your father with someone terrible, and I knew I had to do something about it. When you were born, I could tell your heart was pure. I saw that you were not a selfish person and were the one that would save the werewolf community from all their selfishness. That is why I stood back and watched you go through all those horrible things." 

"I can't believe you would watch as I was mistreated and not do anything about it," I said. I could feel tears coming from my eyes.

"Like I said before. I am sorry," the Moon Goddess said, kneeling before me and taking my hand. "That is why I brought you here. I want to give you a choice."

"What choice?" I asked

"Your mother has stabbed you. The wound is severe, and you could die at any time. If you want, I can let you die, and you can be reborn. I promise if you choose to be reborn, you will have an amazing life. You will never be mistreated and will live happily. You will not remember your old life and what you have gone through. Or, I could send you back to be with your Mate, and you will become Queen. I am not saying your life will be fantastic, but you will never be treated the way you were before that I could promise you. It is your choice, but you don't have but a little time to choose." 

I thought about what the Moon Goddess was saying. I am not going to lie. The thought of having a good life without anyone causing me any pain was tempting. I wondered what it would be like to have loving parents that treated me right. I also thought about Keith and how we went from being enemies to mates. Thinking about him was causing pain to come into my chest. I missed him so much and wanted to be with him. 

I also thought about the vision that Tabatha showed me. Him telling Sandy and Cindy that I would never be his Mate and that if I were, he would have rejected me. That made my heart hurt more, but I knew he had said that in the past. Before he discovered, I was his Mate. Since then, we have been happy with each other and Marked and Mated. Would I be able to live without him? I guess so because I wouldn't even remember him.

"I need to know your decision. What have you decided."

Keith's POV

"The Luna has lost a lot of blood. I am not sure if she will wake up," The Pack Doctor said. 

"What about the blood transfusion I gave her?" I asked

"I am sorry, Alpha, but it doesn't appear to be helping."

"So what do we do now?" I asked. It had been two days since Ebony was stabbed in the back by her mother. I wanted to kill her on the spot, but Jacob said we needed to wait until Ebony woke to see what she wanted to be done. I knew he was right. Ebony would be upset if I killed her mother without her consent. 

" It is up to the Luna now if she wakes up or not." 

"Please, Ebony. Please don't leave me. I never had the chance to tell you what really happened that day. Sandy and Cindy asked me what I would do if you were my Luna. I promise what Tabatha told you was not true. I never told them I would reject you," I cried.

"Well then, what did you tell them you would do?" I looked at Ebony to see her eyes open and staring at me in my eyes.
