Werewolf
Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 169
Keith's POV
"I can't believe you would take her to a party, Raven," I growled.
"Hey, that is my friend you are talking to," Ebony growled back and then began to laugh.
"I didn't know Ashlee had a problem with her. She must have spiked her drink," Raven said
It must have been something strong to get her like this," Mark said
Werewolves had a very high tolerance for alcohol. We didn't get drunk as humans did. So whatever was put in her drink must have been strong. Suddenly I felt Ebony's hand on my thigh. I looked over at her, and she was smiling at me.
"You seem upset," Ebony said
"I am," I replied
"Are you upset with me," she asked with her lips pouty.
"Of course not, Love. I could never be upset with you," I said, and she smiled and then looked at my exposed chest.
When Ebony called me, I knew something was wrong. I could hear it in her voice and knew she was drunk. So when she told me she was at Ashlee's party, I told my father that I had to leave, and Mark and I shifted into our wolves and ran to the party.
"You look so good with your chest out, Keith," Ebony says
"Really," I reply, amused.
"Yeah," she said, rubbing her hands up and down my chest.
"Ebony," I said
"I just want to feel your body on top of mine," Ebony said, making me groan.
I could hear laughter in the back of the car. I looked in the back to see Mark and Raven laughing.
"Well, at least we know she has feelings for you," Mark said, causing me to glare at him.
Once we made it to the Packhouse, I immediately took Ebony to our room. I didn't want her to do something in front of the Pack that she would regret. Her lips were on mine as soon as we were in our room.
"Ebony, you need to stop,"
"I don't want to stop. I want you, but I am afraid," she said, and her hands began caressing my chest.
"Ebony," I groaned, loving the feel of her touch.
It took all my self-control for me to pull away from her. She looked shocked at first, and then I could see tears in her eyes, making me regret my actions.
"Ebony," I started, but she cut me off.
"You don't want me; you don't want me just like my father didn't want me. My mom was right; I am worthless. My own mate doesn't want me," she cried, and I felt like someone had stabbed me in the chest.
"Ebony, baby, that is not true," I said and held her close to me. Then, I took her to our room and put her on the bed, still keeping her tight.
"I am nothing but a burden on everyone," She cried.
"You are not a burden, Love," I said, and she kept crying until she fell asleep.
I watched Ebony sleeping for about an hour as I held her close to me. I thought about everything that she had said. She felt like she was a burden; I knew it was because of her mother. I thought about what Ebony told me about her father. That he left her mother because she turned out to be a female. It didn't make any sense.
If Ebony's father and mother were Mates, he never would have left her. When I asked my father if Ebony's mother had told him about her father, he said he didn't know anything about him. He also said that when her mother came to Alpha Micheal's Pack with Ebony in hand, she said that she needed protection from Ebony's father.
I needed answers, and I was going to get them.
"Mark," I mind-linked
"What's up?" Mark linked back
"I need you to go somewhere with me; it's important,"
"Right now?" Mark asked through the link
"Yes," I linked back
"Okay,"
"Meet me at my car. I need to get Raven to stay with Ebony; why I am gone," I said, and he agreed.
I told Raven that I needed her to stay with Ebony, and she agreed, and then I met Mark at my car. We hopped inside, and I began driving.
"What's up?"
"I need to find out some information about Ebony's father. Stuff isn't adding up," I said
"Where are we going so late at night?"
"To the only place that I can get the answers I need. To speak with Ebony's mom,"
