Werewolf
Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 114
Jason's POV
"Lisa said that you wanted to see me," my mom said as she walked into Uncle Michael's office. She looked over and Mark and me and had a concerned expression.
I had asked Uncle Michael and Mark if they could be with me when I asked my mom what she was hiding. I was nervous to ask her alone. They agreed, and Uncle Michael thought it would be a good idea to talk in his office.
"Is everything okay?" she asked.
"Mom, I need to talk to you," I said, and she sat on the chair beside me
"What do you want to talk about?" My mom asked
"Is there something that you are not telling me?" I asked; she looked at me with confusion on her face.
"What do you mean? Why would I hide anything from you?" She asked
I didn't know what to say to her, so I looked over at Uncle Michael, and he understood immediately
"Cindy told Jason that Cheryl told her that you are hiding something from him," Uncle Michael said
"And you believe her? She did lie to you about being your mate," She said
"I know, and that's why I didn't say anything to you at first when she told me that, but something happened in the battle," I said
"What happened?" She asked
"I was bit by a vampire but healed," I said
I was surprised because she didn't look shocked or concerned about me being bit. Like she knew that it wouldn't affect me like other werewolves.
"Really?" she said, and that annoyed me.
"Mom, you and I both know that a vampire bite is a death sentence for a werewolf," I said
"I know, but maybe you didn't die because you are a warlock," My mom said
"Lilly, you and I both know that had nothing to do with it. You need to tell him the truth," Uncle Michael said, and my mom sighed.
I could tell she was in battle with herself about telling me the truth or not.
"Mom, you and I have always been close. Please, tell me what you are hiding," I said, and she was quiet for a moment.
"Okay, I will tell you everything. We didn't move just because of your father," She said
"What is it," I asked and waited for her to respond
"The day before we left, I needed to go into town. Rose and James stayed at the Packhouse with Lisa. On our way back from town, we were attacked by vampires. I was able to use my magic to fight them off but not before one of them got ahold of you and bit you. That night I thought you would die, but you didn't. I decided to leave Blood Moon the next day.
I thought everything was fine until a week later. I went to check on you in your room, and you weren't there. I panicked and went outside and found you," She said and then stopped.
"You found me, and what?" I asked
"You had a rabbit in your hand. You were drinking its blood. I didn't know what to do, so I decided to see a witch I knew that is more powerful than me. I knew there was a spell that could block your abilities from you, but I knew that it would also hide your wolf when you got him, and I didn't want that. She gave me a potion that would block only your vampire abilities," My mom said
I couldn't believe that my mom would hide this from me. I understood why she didn't tell Rose and James about werewolves because there was a chance they wouldn't shift but to hide this from me.
She looked at me and could tell that I was upset.
"Jason, I just wanted to protect you," My mom said
"No, you didn't. You wanted to hide who I really am," I replied
"That's not true, Baby,"
"It is true," I said and walked out of Uncle Michael's office.
"Hey, son, have you seen your mother?" My father asked
"Yeah, she is in Uncle Michael's office," I said
"Are you okay?"
"Ask mom," I said and walked away.
I was shocked and worried. I didn't know what I was, and my mom decided to hide everything from me, even giving me something to hide what I was. I needed to think.
Rose's POV
"I got that," Derek said as he took the box away from me
I had just gotten home from school. Derek had been moving our things into our house. Jace and had been helping him.
"The box isn't even heavy," I said
"I don't care, you are pregnant, and I will not allow you to carry anything," Derek said, causing me to roll my eyes.
"Fine, I am going to see what Kate is up to," I said
"Okay, I will mind-link you when everything is done. It shouldn't take that much longer," Derek said and kissed me before I walked out of the room.
I went to Kate's room to see her sitting on her bed. She looked like she was deep in thought.
"What's wrong?" I asked, but she didn't hear me
"Kate," I said
"What?" She said as she turned to look at me
"Are you alright?" I asked her
She looked at me with tears in her eyes
"What's wrong? You can tell me," I said
"Promise you won't say anything?" She said
"I promise,"
"I found my mates," She said
"What do you mean, mates?" I asked
"I have two mates. They came to your Alpha and Luna Ceremony. They are the twin Alpha's from Red Moon Pack," She said
I remembered meeting them at the ceremony, and they weren't that friendly. Derek told me they were cruel and would kill anyone who disagreed with them.
"Are you okay?" I asked
"No, they are evil. How are they, my mates?" She asked
"Does anyone else know?" I asked
"No, but they are still on our territory. They came to our school today," She said
"Did they say anything to you?" I asked
"NO, they just watched me. It was weird, but I liked it. I don't know how long I can fight the mate bond. I know they are cruel, but I want them,"
There was a knock on Kate's door. Kate opened it to see Derek standing on the other side.
"I am all done. Are you ready to go?"
"Yes, I will be there in a minute," I said, and he left the room
"Everything will be okay, Kate. They are your mates for a reason; talk to them. Maybe they aren't as bad as you think," I said
"I hope your right," Kate said
I left and went back to my room. Derek was looking at some paperwork, placing them in a briefcase.
"Are you ready?" He asked
"Yes," I replied
Our parents were waiting for us downstairs.
"We are going to miss you guys," Aunt Lisa said and hugged Derek and me.
"We won't be far," I said as I hugged her back.
I looked over at my mom, who looked like something was bothering her.
"Are you alright?" I asked as I hugged her
"I am fine, sweetie, don't worry. I am going to miss you," She said
"You will see me all the time, mom. I am not just down the street," I replied
I got in the car with Derek, Excited about moving into our own home.
