Keith's POV

I watched as Ebony slept in my arms. I hated the pain she was in hearing about Jacob still seeing Alice even after everything she had done to her. Yes, Jacob and Alice are Mates, but I know it is hard for Egbony knowing her father would still see the woman that hurt her. 

I knew I needed to speak to Ebony about Alissa as well. I wanted to ask her what she thought should happen to Alissa for her involvement in the kidnapping. I didn't know what Jacob planned to do. I didn't know if he planned to punish Alissa or let her get away with her involvement. Alissa was a Princess and Jacob's daughter, which meant without his permission, it would be hard to punish her. It was fucked up but just like in any other community, whether werewolf, vampire, witch, or human. Royals always got away with the bad they did, no matter what it was. Even, Alphas could get away with a lot of things that others would be punished for.

After making sure Ebony was asleep, I placed my pillow by her so she could smell my scent, and she wrapped her arms around it with her face lying on my pillow, and I got out of bed. I got dressed and walked out of the room we were staying in at the Red Moon Pack. Jacob ended up staying at the Red Moon Packhouse instead of returning to Silvermoon because of the long drive. I needed to talk to him about what would happen to Alissa. I wasn't okay with what Alissa did, and I planned on making sure she knew never to hurt my Mate again.

"I am happy you know you were wrong, Alissa, but that doesn't make everything right. You hurt your sister. You helped your mother kidnap her. I did not raise you to be that way," I could hear Jacob say. The door to the room was cracked open, and I could see Alissa sitting on the couch while Jacob talked to her. 

"I know, dad. I was wrong and feel terrible for what mom did to Ebony. I was jealous that you were giving her all of the attention. It was like you forgot about me, plus everything between you and mom has been all messed up ever since Ebony showed up," ALissa said

"Alissa, you know that isn't Ebony's fault. Your mother has been trying to get rid of Ebony since before she was born. She helped Renee leave the palace after giving birth to Ebony," Jacob said 

"I know. I just miss the way things were when you and mom were happy and not fighting every day," Alissa said. I knocked on the door, and Jacob and Alissa looked over at me.

"Can I talk to you for a moment?" I asked, looking at Jacob.

"Sure, Guards, I need you to watch Alissa. Don't let her out of your sight because if she leaves, you will be punished," Jacob said

"Yes, Alpha," The guard said. Jacob and I walked down the steps and outside of the Packhouse. 

"How is Ebony doing?" Jacob asked

"Physically, she is fine, but I told her what you told me about seeing Alice after what she did to Ebony," I replied

"And what did she say?" Jacob asked

"She needs some time away from you. It hurt her knowing you were still seeing Alice after what she did to her," I replied

"I understand. I would like to apologize to her. I want to explain why I was seeing Alice though I am sure whatever I say won't make her forgive me," Jacob said

"I will see if Ebony is okay with seeing you," I replied

"Thanks," Jacob replied

"The reason I wanted to talk to you was to see what you plan on doing with Alissa. I know she is your daughter, but she shouldn't get away with her part in Ebony's kidnapping. Not only that, but she left with Alistar when she was supposed to stay in Silvermoon," I said

"I know she deserves to be punished for what she did, but I am not going to hurt my daughter," Jacob growled, pissing me off.

"What do you plan on doing with her then? What will her punishment be?" I asked

"I don't know. I want Ebony and Alissa to talk to each other. Alissa was sad that her mom and I weren't getting along like we used to. She wanted someone to blame," Jacob said

"I heard what she told you. she was mad that you and Alice were not together, but she was also jealous of Ebony. She wanted to get rid of her and decided to help Alice kidnap. That is wrong, and you can't just let her get away with it," I replied

"Are you threatening my daughter?' Jacob asked

"If your daughter threatens my Mate, then yes. I guess I am, and you need to remember you don't only have one daughter. Ebony is also your daughter," I growled.

"Stop it. Both of you." Jacob and I turned to see Ebony standing behind us. 

"Ebony, I am sorry," Jacob started, but Ebony cut him off.

"I don't want to hear your apology right now. And I don't want the two of you arguing about Alissa," Ebony replied

"Ebony, can I talk to you for a moment so I can explain," Jacob asked

"I don't want to talk to you right now. Maybe we can talk tomorrow. Right now, I need to talk to Keith about something," Ebony replied

"Sure, I will leave the two of you alone," Jacob said and walked back into the Red Moon Packhouse.

"Why are you out of bed? You need sleep," I asked, and Ebony looked at me. 

"I don't want you arguing with Jacob about Alissa. This is not the time for that, especially with what Abby told us tonight," Ebony said

"I know. I only wanted to ask him what he planned on doing with Alissa. She deserves to pay for her part in what happened to you," I replied

"I know, but now is not the time to worry about Alissa. I believe she regrets what she did," Ebony said.

"Do you trust her?' I asked

"No. But we have more to worry about right now. We need to figure out who we can trust and who we can't," Ebony replied

"I know. Tomorrow morning when we get home, we need to have a meeting with my parents and some of the warriors," I replied

"Okay, now let's go upstairs to get some sleep. I also want us to speak to Jacob and Alissa tomorrow to hear what they have to say," Ebony said 

"Okay, let's get some rest. Tomorrow is going to be a long day."
