Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 24

Beta Jacob

"What do you mean they are waiting two months to do an investigation? That Witch could have killed my daughter," I said to Larry over the phone.

"We have other pressing matters to attend to, Beta Jacob. She is Alpha Michael's son's mate and the future Luna. Alpha Michael explained that her powers had just surfaced while your daughter and her friend were riling her up."  Larry replied

I hung up my phone and threw it on the table in my office. I should have known Larry would inform Michael that I called the council. I'm sure he will get this case thrown out and let that bitch get away with stealing my daughter's mate. But, thank Goddess, I had another plan in effect. 

"Come in," I said after hearing a knock on my door. My daughter walks in slowly and sits. I am so disappointed in her. It is her fault that Derek doesn't feel the mate bond with her. She is doing something wrong.

"You called for me, daddy?" 

"How is everything going with you and Derek? Are you gaining any process of getting that Witch away from your mate?" I asked her 

"I am trying to become her friend, so I can get closer to her." 

"Good! Keep doing that. Make her trust you; that will help with my plan." I said with a smile

"What plan," She asked, and before I could respond, there was a knock at the door.

"Come in," I said, and the person I was waiting for stepped through the door.

"You asked to see me, Beta Jacob?" 

"Yes, I did. Come take a seat next to my daughter." I responded

She sat next to Vivian and looked around my office for a moment. I could tell she was wondering why I had called her here.

"How is everything at the Silvermoon Pack going?" I asked her

"Fine"

"How is your mate?" 

"Look! I know you called me here for a reason. I would much rather get to the point than make small talk. I have better things I could be doing than sitting in your office," She said, annoyed.

"Your right. I did have a favor to ask you. I think it would be in your best interest to agree to help me with it," I said

"Why would I help you with anything? I don't owe you anything," She spat

"I know what you are," I answered

"What are you talking about?" She asked

I could tell she was nervous because she couldn't sit still anymore.

"Don't play dumb! I know you are not a werewolf. I don't know how you have hidden it for this long from everyone else. I know you are a witch," I finished.

"That's not true!"

"Then shift"

"What"

"You heard me! Shift into your wolf."

She looked at me for a moment and then sighed in defeat

"What do you want?" She asked

"Don't worry, what I want will benefit you as well. I want you to use your magic and make Derek fill the mate bond with my daughter here," I told her.

"How does that benefit me?" She asked

"Isn't it obvious? If you help me with this, it will help get rid of Lilly."

"How"

"Because Rose is Derek's supposed mate. I don't believe it, but your potion will help Vivian and Derek be together, just like it helped you get Max all those years ago," I said and then stood up out of my chair and extended my hand to her.

"So what do you say, Chloe?"

She looked at my hand and then looked me in the eye.

"Nobody can ever find out any of this. Especially Max or my son." 

"You have my word; help me with this, and nobody will ever find out from me."

"What about your daughter?" She asked, looking at Vivian, who had been quiet the whole time.

"She won't say anything. Right Vivian"

"Your secret is safe with me," Vivian said

Chloe stood on the other side of me and extended her hand to mine, shaking it.

"You have a deal," She said

"Good! As long as everyone does their part in this room. Everything will work out in our favor," I said and sat back in my chair.

Rose would be gone soon.
