One Year Later

Rose's POV

Oh, fuck Derek, don't stop," I moaned while Derek moved in and out of me.

I decided to take a shower before leaving the room. It was the triplet's birthday, and we had a party for them at two. I should have known Aunt Lisa and my mom would show up like this. Today was going to be a long day

"Everything should arrive around noon. When is the party starting?" my mom asked

"At 2," I said

"Everyone from the Pack is coming, but I wanted to know if it was alright to invite Jace and Lacy?" Uncle Michael said and looked at Derek.

"Lacy is welcome anytime, but I don't want Jace anywhere near my family," Derek growled.

After everything that happened with Jace, Derek wanted to kill him. I talked him out of killing him, but he said he needed to be banished. I didn't want that to happen for Lacy's sake, so I talked him into letting him stay in the Pack.

I know Jace only wanted to protect his mom. He had lost everyone else in his family and knew that if he didn't do anything, Derek would kill her. I knew he didn't mean any harm, so I didn't want him to be banished. Derek agreed to let him stay in the Pack as long as he stayed far away from our family. Jace was completely cut from his title as Beta, which Jason had become before Jace came back. He has a home close to the border and away from the Packhouse. 

Lacy is allowed to come around us but doesn't. I feel bad because Lacy and I were becoming good friends, and now we don't even see each other anymore. 

"Hello, everyone," Mark said as he walked into the house.

I am so happy that Mark isn't upset with me about me killing Chloe. We had a long talk about it, and he told me he understood what had happened. However, I still feel bad that I killed her. I wish I could have done something else, but if I didn't react the way I did, my babies and I would have been killed.

"Hey, Mark," Derek said 

"I thought you were having the party at the Packhouse," Mark said

"We are; our moms just came over early," Derek said, annoyed. I know he was mad that they interrupted us earlier. 

I heard one of the children crying and went to their room. Derek Jr was up and about to walk out of the room. Jr and Blake were already walking, while Violet could stand but not walk. I knew that Jr was the leader of the three. Jr and Blake were both already protective over Violet. They were all so close to each other, which made me happy.

"Are you ready for your birthday Jr," I asked, and he laughed

"They are so precious, Luna," One of the Pack Members said

"Thank you," I said

Everyone was outside the Packhouse; children were running around outside with party hats and whistles. Violet was sitting on her father's lap. She was a daddy's girl, and Derek couldn't be happier. Derek Jr and Blake were playing with some toys with the other kids. 

Sandy came up to Derek and me. I looked at her, wondering what she was going to say.

"You have a beautiful family, Alpha, and Luna," Sandy said with a smile

"Thank you, Sandy," I said, smiling back at her

"That was weird," I said

"I think your brother put her in her place," Derek laughed, and I looked at him in confusion.

"Don't worry about it," he said 

Once the party was over, we went home. The children played with their toys while we watched happily on the couch in each other's arms. That night I sat on the front porch thinking about the past year. If anyone had told me a little over a year ago that my life would turn out like this, I would have thought they were crazy. Derek came outside and sat beside me, pulling me on his lap.

"What are you thinking about, Flower?"

"I was thinking about how my life changed when I moved here. I was just a plain human, and then I discovered I had a mate, was a half-witch and werewolf, and now I have three children and am married. Sometimes I wonder if this is a dream," I said

"It is not a dream, Flower, and I couldn't be more happier. Before, I didn't have anything to live for, and you gave me a whole family. Even after everything, you still chose to be with me. I love you more than my life," Derek said
