"I am so happy you decided to talk to me. Yesterday night was hard without you," Derek said 

We were sitting at the dining room table in our room. 

"Yeah, it was hard," I said.

I was miserable without him last night. I didn't even attend school today because of the pain I was feeling being away from him. I don't understand how my mom and dad stayed survived being away from each other for sixteen years. I couldn't even sleep last night. 

We were silent for a moment. I didn't know what to say to him. 

"I guess I will start talking. I have said it many times and will keep saying it until you believe me. I am sorry for everything I did before I met you. I am sorry I didn't wait for you, but I can't change my past. Just know that the moment I saw you, I didn't want anyone else and have not touched anyone else. I want your forgiveness so that we can move on with our life together," He said

I looked at him for a moment, thinking about what he had just told me. I believed that he hadn't touched anyone else since he met me. I hated that he didn't wait for me and messed with many females. Why did he have to sleep with so many females?

"Derek, I believe you said you haven't messed with anyone since you met me. I am mad that you knew you had a mate but decided to sleep around," I said

"I only did that because I didn't think I would find you. I know it's messed up, but it is true. I was lonely, and that was the way I coped with it all," 

"What about Vivian?" 

"What do you mean?" 

"Are you sure it wasn't because you were sad that she wasn't your mate?" I asked

"What? No," he said

I looked at him before responding.

"I don't like that you thought she was your mate for so long. I feel like you wanted her to be and that you are not truly happy with me," I told him honestly.

"Rose, I want no one but you. I told you our parents thought she would be my mate, which is all they talked about when we were growing up, but I didn't care for her as a mate should. So I cheated on her, and she cheated on me. We were kids, and that is in the past. You are my future, my forever, and all I want," He said, and I could feel that he was telling the truth.

"I believe you, and honestly, you are right. I can't hold you for your past, but I also don't deserve to have to put up with it," I said

"I know, and that is why I was kicking them out of the pack. I don't know why you didn't want me to after they tried to come between us," He said

"Because I can't just blame them, Derek; if you didn't sleep with them, then they wouldn't have anything to say to me. So I can't just blame them for your actions. They are not my mate; you are," I said 

"You are right. You know you are already a good Luna. You don't act on emotion; you think of what is best for everyone. I am lucky to have you," He said, and I couldn't help but smile.

"Let's start over this time. I won't hold you don't do anything to make anyone from your past think that they have a chance with you," I said

"That sounds good," He said, smiling at me.

"You already took up for me in front of the whole pack, and I want to say thank you for that," I said

"You don't have to thank me, Flower. I love you,"

"I love you too," I said 

Just then, there was a knock at the door. 

"Come in," Derek said, and in came my mom and his.

"Is everything okay now between the two of you?" My mom asked

"Yes, we talked it out," I said

"Thank Goddess. I thought I was going to have to lock the two of you in a room together until you worked this out," Aunt Lisa said

"No, mom, we took care of it," Derek said

"Great, well, I want us all to have dinner together. Talk about the Ceremonies. They are still on for next weekend, right?" Aunt Lisa asked, and Derek turned to look at me

"Yes, they are still on," I said, and Derek sighed relief.

"We will be down in a minute," Derek said, and they left.

Derek came to me and hugged me tightly to him. He started to kiss my neck, causing me to moan. I was horny. I wanted him right then and now. He stopped sucking on my neck and looked me in the eye.
