Keith's POV

"Where is your mother?" Jacob asked Alissa

"I don't know. When she saw Ebony shift into her wolf, she ran away," Alissa said

"I am going to take Ebony to the Pack Hospital," I said, and Jacob nodded. He looked at Ebony, and I could see he was upset about what had happened to her.

"I can't believe you would do this to your older sister," Jacob said. I walked out of the room with Ebony in my arms. It took everything in me not to tear Alisa apart for helping Alice kidnap her. The only reason I didn't kill her was that I knew Ebony would be pissed off at me if I did. Plus, she was still unconscious, and I needed to get her to the Pack Doctor.

"We have put all the Queens followers on the bus. What would you like for us to do with them?" one of my warriors asked.

"Take all of them to a cell. I will deal with them later," I told him and headed to a vehicle that was waiting to take Ebony and me home. I hopped into the backseat with her sitting in my lap, still unconscious. Abby was already in the back seat when we arrived.

"Drive," I said, and one of my warriors began to drive away.

"She has been through a lot," Abby said. I could tell by her facial expression that she was

truly sad about what happened to her.

"I was angry because of the condition my Mate was in. Ebony's clothes were torn, and she had whip marks all over her back. There was blood that stained her shirt from how badly she was beaten. Her wrist had burns around them, telling me they must have been tied up with something laced with wolfsbane. I was going to kill Alice, and even though I couldn't kill Alissa without hurting Ebony emotionally, I was not going to allow her to get away with what she did to my Mate.

Once we arrived at the Pack hospital, I immediately took Ebony inside. I had already let them know that I was on my way with Ebony and what had happened. "Right this way, Alpha Keith," one of the Pack Doctors said, and I followed her to a room.

"Alpha, we need you to leave the room so we can work on her."

"No, I am not leaving my Mate," I growled and held Ebony closer to me.

"We really need you to leave the room, Alpha. That is the only way we can take care of Luna Ebony. You want her to get better, right?"  I knew that the Doctor was right. I had to let them do their job. I placed her on the bed after kissing the top of her head. "You better take care of my Mate, or you will be punished," I growled and scared everyone in the room.

"Of course, Alpha. The Luna is in good hands," She said, and I left the room. When I went out to the waiting room, my mom, dad, and Raven were there speaking to one of the receptionists.

"Son, how is she?" My mom asked worriedly

They are working on her now. She is in bad shape, Mom. They beat her, and she has marks all over her back," I said. I couldn't help it when the tears began to fall down my cheeks. I have never been one to cry in front of anyone. Not even when I was little, but seeing Ebony in her condition made me lose it. I broke down in front of everyone and didn't care what anyone thought. They could think I was weak for all I cared.

"Everything is going to be okay, Keith," my mom said as she hugged me close.

"It better be. I can't live without her, mom," I said

"The Doctors are taking very good care of her. Ebony will be fine." my dad said. We waited in the waiting room for over an hour. I was beginning to lose patience.

"How is she?" Jacob asked as he walked into the waiting room.

"No one has told us anything. Nikki, the receptionist, said the Doctor would come to talk to us once they were done working on her. It has been over an hour," I said

"I am sure everything will be okay," Jacob said

"Where is Alissa?" I asked

"She is in her room. I have some warriors watching her right now," Jacob said

"Didn't you have warriors watching her before, and she still ended up sneaking out?" I asked

"I didn't know that one of those warriors was one of Alice's followers. He has been locked into a cell," Jacob said

"We are going to have to check all the Royal Pack Members to see who is on Queen Alice's side. I refuse to put Ebony in anymore more danger. She has already been through a lot," I said

"I agree. We will have everyone investigated," Jacob replied

"Is Ebony alright?"  Ebony's grandparents asked as they walked over to where we were sitting.

"The Doctors are working on her," Jacob said

"Alpha Keith," One of the Doctors said as he walked over to me.

"How is she?" I asked

"The Luna is doing fine. She had a few different drugs in her system, and we have started an IV to get them out of her system. She was also beaten very badly. She has marks on her back from being whipped by someone. Once the Wolfsbsnd and other drugs are out of her system, her wolf can heal the bruises. That might take a few days because of how much wolfbane she had in her system. Other than that, Luna Ebony will make a full recovery."

"Thank you, Doctor," Jacob said

"Can we see her now?" I asked

"The Luna is still asleep, but yes, you can go in with her. We have already moved her to your floor of the hospital. I think it would be best if you were the only one that goes up there until she wakes up."

"Go ahead, son. We will wait here until she wakes up," My dad said, and I walked to our floor in the hospital. I couldn't help the tears that came again when I saw my Mate in the hospital bed, looking so helpless. I took the chair against the wall, placed it next to Ebony's bed, and sat down.

I watched as she slept while holding her hand. I couldn't help but think about what could have happened. I could have lost my Mate. I almost did lose her, and I knew that from that moment forward, I was going to make sure nothing like this happened again.
