Ebony's POV

"We need a room now," Keith said as we walked into the Pack Hospital

"What happened," One of the doctors asked

"She was shot. I think that bullet had wolfbane inside," Keith said 

"Bring her in here," The Doctor said, and Keith took her to a room and lay her on the bed,

"I need the two of you to wait in the waiting area," the Doctor said, and Keith pulled me close to him, and we walked out of the door.

"Where is Alissa," I heard Alice ask when we walked into the waiting area. 

"She is being worked on right now, Luna," The lady at the front desk said 

"Come on, Alice. She will be fine," Jacob said, and then he saw me.

"Ebony, are you okay?" Jacob asked and walked up to me, pulling me into him for a hug.

"I am fine. The Doctors are working on Alissa. She jumped in front of me when the man shot at me. I am so sorry. This is all my fault," I cried.

"Shh, don't cry, Pumpkin. This isn't your fault. Everything is going to be okay. Alissa is going to be okay," Jacob said while hugging me.

"I need to see my daughter now," Alice said, and Jacob pulled away from me. He looked at Keith, who already had his arms wrapped around me.

"Take care of her," Jacob said to Keith.

"Always," Keith said, and Jacob went over to Alice to calm her down.

"Come on, Love. Let's sit down," Keth said, and we sat next to each other.

"This is all my fault," I said 

"No, it isn't, Love. I still don't understand why someone would shoot at you. Did they look familiar?" Keith asked

"No. I have never seen them before. They asked if I was Ebony, and I said yes, and then they pulled out a gun and aimed it at me, but Alissa jumped in front of me," I said. 

Jacob and Alice came over and sat by Keith and me. Alice was crying, while Jacob looked worried while we waited for news on Alissa. 

"King Jacob, Queen Alice," The Doctor came out and said

"Yes, how is our daughter," Jacob asked.

"She is fine and should be healed in about an hour. The bullet she was shot with was laced with wolfsbane, but she is fine. Luckily they missed her heart. If they didn't, we might be having a different conversation right now," the Doctor said 

'Thanks. Can we see her now?" Jacob asked

"Of course. She is awake and doing fine. You all can go see her now," the Doctor said, and then she walked away.

We all stood up and walked to Alissa's room. She was lying in bed watching tv when we walked inside.

"Alissa, I was so worried about you," Alice said

"Yes, we all were worried about you, baby girl," Jacob said 

"I am fine, just a little sore. The Doctor said I should be healed from the wolfbane soon. They put this IV in me to clean all of the wolfsbane out of me," Alissa said and held up her arm. I was in tears, still not believing she was shot right in front of my eyes. Alissa looked at me and smiled.

"You saved my life, Alissa. YOu jumped in front of that bullet for me," I said 

"It was no big deal," Alissa said 

"No big deal. YOu saved your sister Alissa. YOu are a hero," Jacob said

"She would have healed just like I am if he had shot her," Alissa said

"You still jumped in front of me. Don't ever do that again, okay?" I said, and she nodded

There was a knock at the door, and some Pack Warriors walked inside the room. 

"Hello, King Jacob, Queen Alice. We are here to ask questions about what happened to the Princess," One of the Warriors said 

"Of course, come in," Jacob said, and they walked inside and closed the door.

"Only two of you saw the man?" The warrior asked

"Yes, only my daughters saw him," Jacob said

"Daughters, so it is true that she is the future Queen?" The guard asked, looking at me

"Yes, she is," Jacob said, and the man got on his knees.

"You have no idea how happy I am, and everyone else is going to be that you are alive and well, Princess. We have been looking for you since that night you were taken," He said

"Thank you," I said, a little overwhelmed by his actions.

"Can we get back to figuring out who shot my daughter," Alice said

"OF course, Your Majesty," he said nervously and began asking me and Alissa questions about the man. Both of us didn't know much. The most we could tell them was that he had brown hair and black eyes and was about six ft three. Everything had happened so fast that was all the both of us got. 

"Well, this will help, but I am going to see if anyone has a security camera or something that might have caught a picture of him. Thanks for your time. Again, I am so happy that you are alive and well," 

"Thank you,' I said

"You Majesties," he said, leaving the room.

"I don't like that someone is shooting at my Mate. I think we need to leave," Keith said 

"What, no. We just need to make sure that she has security guards around at all times," Jacob said

"She isn't safe here, and I am not going to risk Ebony's life," Keith said 

"Maybe Keith is right, Jacob. Alissa just was shot because someone wanted to shoot Ebony," Alice said 

"This isn't Ebony's fault," Keith and Jacob said simultaneously.

"I didn't say that, but she isn't safe here," Alice said 

"Yes, she is. Please, Ebony, don't leave yet. I just found you," Jacob said 

 I looked at Jacob and Keith, not knowing what to do. I wanted to get to know Jacob, but I felt I was the cause of Alissa getting shot.

"I need to think about it," I said
