Derek's POV

"What happened? Why is Rose so upset?" Max asked as he and Aunt Lil walked over to me

"This She-wolf told Rose that she and Derek have been messing around," James said

"What? Is that true, Derek," Max growled.

"No, I haven't messed with her since I met your daughter. I would never cheat on Rose. I love her," I said honestly. 

"If you love her, then why did you take me with you to Blue Moon Pack?" Samantha asked

"You are a flight attendant, and we didn't do anything that night? You tried to seduce me, and I kicked you out of my room," I growled.

"How dare you try to cause problems between my Luna and me. Jace takes her to a cell. You will be tried for disrespecting your future Luna and will most likely be banished from the pack," I growled.

"What? No, Derek, I am sorry," She yelled as Jace took her to a cell.

I turned around and saw my parents and Rose's, looking at me.

"Do you think you are overdoing it," Mark asked

"No, I need to make an example out of her. Everyone will know not to disrespect my mate after this," I said

"You are doing the right thing, son. I am proud of you," My dad said 

"You are doing the right thing now, son, but you should have don't something a long time ago. Why was he your flight attendant after you met Rose? You should have known that something like this would happen," My mom said

"I know, mom, I made a mistake by not firing her as soon as I met Rose. I promise that I didn't touch her after I met Rose. She is just trying to cause trouble," I said

"I believe you didn't touch her afterward, but you must fix this with Rose if you mess up your Mating Ceremony because you made a mistake. I will never forgive you," My mom said and walked away.

"I am on your mother's side. You better fix this, Derek, because I am tired of seeing my daughter sad because you couldn't wait for her," Aunt Lil said and walked after my mom.

I looked at my father, Jason, Mark, James, and Max. 

"You need to make this right, man," Jason said, and he, Mark, and James walked away. 

My dad and Max stayed with me. My dad patted my back while Mark gave me a sad look.

"I know you didn't mean to hurt my daughter, but you did. It would be best if you made this better," Mark said and sat down on a chair. My father sat next to him, and I also decided to sit down.

"What should I do?" I asked

"Show her that she is the only woman for you. You have to prove it to her, Derek. You can't keep having females come up to her like they have some claim on you. Be the Alpha and Mate. I know you were born to be and protect your Luna," My dad said, and I agreed.

It was time for me to ensure everyone knew not to mess with my Luna.

Rose's POV

"How are you feeling now?" Kate asked me

We were in her room eating ice cream and cookies. 

"Still mad," I said truthfully.

"I feel you, girl. I would be mad too," Kate said

"Yeah, but don't let those girls get to you. Jace and I have been through it, too, and as I told you before, things get better. The girls are just jealous that you are Derek's mate. They want to cause problems between you too. They think that if they do, then he will end up with one of them," Lacy said

"They are crazy. Just like your mate's sister. No offense," Kate said

"None taken. I know how Vivian is; believe me, she and I have had words. I chose to stay away from her. It seems like she and her father think everyone is beneath them," Lacy said

"What about their mother," I asked. I had hardly seen Jace's mother.

"She is an Angel. I don't know how she was mated with Jacob. He is the Devil," Lacy said and then took a bite of her ice cream.

"I guess the Moon Goddess wanted to even them out, you know, with good and evil," Kate said 

"I don't think anyone should have to be mated to him," Lacy said

I couldn't help but wonder how bad Jacob really was. However, my thoughts were interrupted when I heard a knock at the door.

"Come in," Kate said, and my mom and Aunt Lisa walked in.

"Hey, Rose, are you okay," Aunt Lisa asked, and I nodded.

"Everything will be okay, sweetie, I promise," My mom said and hugged me.

"Yeah, we told my son off. He is going to learn how to treat you as his mate and Luna," Aunt Lisa said

"Thank You," I said, and they sat next to me at the table.

"Do you two want some ice cream," Kate asked. 

"Of course we do," My mom said, and Kate gave them both a spoon and bowl.

I might be upset at Derek, but at least I had family that cared for me and would take up for me no matter what.
