Ebony's POV

TWO WEEKS LATER

"We have found information on Mandy," one of Jacob's Trackers said. It had been two weeks since the day at the hospital when Grandma Margarette thought Tia was Mandy. Since then, we have sent one of Jacob's trackers to try and find her. I could tell Jacob was worried about what they would discover, and I knew it was because he was afraid she was still using Black Magic.

Keith was also worried about finding Mandy. After Abby told him that I became evil in one of her visions, Keith is worried Mandy might be the one that makes me become evil, especially since Jacob told us that Mandy used to use black Magic. We were in Keith's office listening to the tracker tell us what he had found.

"What did you find?" Jacob asked

"I am sorry to tell you that your sister Mandy was killed right after giving birth to a child. A little girl," the tracker said and placed some photos of Mandy dead in the woods on the table. Jacob picked them up and looked at everyone carefully. 

" I am sorry for showing you these, King Jacob. But we needed to make sure this was her."

"Where was her body found? Was it on Rogue Territory?" I asked

"No, Princess Ebony. She was found in Crest Pack Territory, a Pack close to the Royal Pack. The Alpha didn't know who she was, so they listed her as a Jane Doe. I checked all of the Packs around Royal Pack, and that is how I found where she was."

"This is her. How long ago did this happen?" Jacob asked

"A little over a year after your parents kicked her out." I looked at Jacob and could see it was taking a lot for him not to break down.

"Is there anything else you discovered about her?" Keith asked

"Yea, I ran into one of her friends. Deliah, who Princess Mandy met right after your parents kicked her out. She said at. First, Mandy was into black Magic and was even hanging out with a witch that was deeply into black Magic. Then Mandy met her Mate. His name was Danny, and she ended up getting pregnant and moving to his Pack, Sun Crest Pack. Mandy stopped using black Magic and wanted to be a great Mate and mother. One day she disappeared while pregnant and was never seen again." 

"So she did give up using Black Magic?" Jacob said

"Yes," 

"Do you know where her Mate is?" I asked

"Unfortunately, after she left, he wasn't doing good. His friends told me one night, he woke up in terrible pain and said Mandy was gone. The next morning they found him dead."

"HE must have felt her death," Keith said. If your Mate is in pain or dies, their Mate can feel it. I heard that once that happens, they lose a part of themselves. Most die, especially if they have no children. He must have believed his daughter had died as well. 

"Does anyone know what happened to the baby?" I asked

"No. When they found her, she wasn't pregnant, and there was no baby in sight." 

"Thank you. You may go," Jacob said, dismissing the tracker.

"Yes, King Jacob," the tracker said, and he left Keith's office.

Jacob was looking at the photos, and I knew he was feeling terrible about what had happened to his sister.

"Are you alright?" I asked

"I should have said something when my parents kicked her out. I was the king, and I let them get rid of her without saying anything," Jacob said 

"She was using Black Magic. You knew that would be dangerous for the Pack. This isn't your fault," I said

"Thanks for saying that, but I disagree with you. I could have helped her instead of letting them push her away. Now I didn't only lose a sister but her daughter as well. I was an uncle," Jacob replied

"I don't think her daughter is dead," I said

"What do you mean?"

"Tia, I think Tia is her daughter," I said and ran to the door. 

"Ebony, what are you doing?" Keith asked, running after me. I ran toward the elevator and was relieved when I saw the tracker waiting for it to come.

"Hey, wait a minute," I said, and he looked at me.

"Princess, Ebony. What can I do for you?" the tracker asked.

"Did Mandy's friend give you the name of the Evil Witch?" I asked

"Yes," He said and pulled out his notepad to look it over. "Let me see her name was.....There it is; her name was Tabatha."

"Did you say, Tabatha?" Jacob asked. I looked behind me to see Keith and Jacob standing there.

"Yes, do you know who that is?"

"Yes, we think we do. Thanks for your time," Keith replied, and the tracker got into the elevator. Once the elevator was shut, I couldn't help but tell them what I was thinking.

"I think Tabatha stole Tia from Mandy and then killed her," I said, looking at Keith and then Jacob.

"I think you are right."
