Ebony's POV

When we arrived at the Packhouse, Jacob was already waiting for us by Kieth's office. I had called him on our way, asking him to meet us in Keith's office.

"You're already here," I said as I got closer to him.

"You sounded worried when I was talking to you on the phone. I know it has to be important. What's up?" Jacob asked

"Let's go inside so we can discuss this more privately," Keith said, and we all went inside the office. Keith closed and locked the door. Keith and I sat across from Jacob at Keith's desk.

"What happened?" Jacob asked

"We need to ask you about your sister, Mandy," Keith said

"How do you know about Mandy?" Jacob asked.

"Grandma Margarette called one of Abby's friends, Mandy, at the hospital. The one that had been training me before the war," I said

"She saw Mandy at the hospital?" Jacob asked

NO. At least, I don't think she was Mandy. Grandma Margarette said she was too young to be Mandy, but she said they looked identical," I replied

"We need to know what happened between the two of you. Just in case Tia isn't who she says she is. I am worried that it may be too much of a coincidence that someone with the spitting image of your sister has been hanging around the Packhouse. Not only that, but she also kept asking Ebony for help training. She was upset when we told her she would see if you could train her. It was like she was trying to convince Ebony to let her help her for some reason," Keith said

"Mandy is my little sister. When I was eighteen and she was sixteen, she began practicing dark magic. My parents found out, and right before I took over as king, they kicked her out of the Pack. I haven't seen her since that day they told her to leave," Jacob said. 

"Did you ever try to find her?" I asked

"Yes. When I became Werewolf King, I sent some warriors to find her. I found out she was living on human territory and was pregnant. She was pregnant at that time. It was around two years before you were born, Ebony. I wanted to ask her to come home."

"Why didn't you go see her?" I asked

"I didn't know if she was still using black magic. I decided it would be good to stay away from her. Plus, the warriors said she was happy. She had made a life for herself. When your mom left the Palace with you the night you were born, I went to see her about two weeks later. When I went to her address, she wasn't there. I have tried to find her, but there has been no trace of her since." 

"You said she had a daughter. What if Tia is her daughter? Grandma Margarette said she looked just like her," I said. Tia wasn't that older than me, and Jacob told me Mandy had been pregnant before I was born.

"That might be true. What if Mandy is upset that your parents kicked her out and is planning on getting back at you by going through Ebony," Keith replied

"I don't know. I need to talk to Margarette," Jacob said. Then, a few minutes later, Mark came in with Abby next to him.

"You wanted to see me," Abby asked.

"Yes, we have some questions for you about Tia. How long have you known her, and have you met anyone in her family?" Keith asked

"I have known her for a few years. I knew her mother before I asked your father to let me stay here. She is the one that told me this was a safe place to go. I thought she lived here, but she told me she didn't. Then, ten years later, when I was visiting an old friend, I coincidentally ran into her mother, and she had Tia with her. She was about thirteen at the time," Abby said.

"So she was pregnant when she told you about Silvermoon being safe? Or had a young child with her," Keith asked.

"No. She didn't have a child and didn't look pregnant. I remember being shocked when she told me Tia was her child," Abby said

"What is Tia's mom's name?' Jacob asked

"Tabatha," Abby replied

"Do they look alike," Keith asked.

"No. They don't look anything alike. Why?" Abby asked confused

"We have reason to believe that Tia is up to something. I think she might be the one that makes Ebony turn evil," Keith said

"What are you talking about? Ebony isn't evil," Jacob said. Keith and I told him about what Abby had told Kieth about me becoming evil in one of her visions of the future.

"So you are telling me that I wasn't supposed to stop the fight," Jacob said

"No. You were supposed to let the fight go on but help Luna Ebony defeat the evil. I guess that evil is Tia," Abby said. I thought about it for a while. About Grandma Margarette saying Tia was the spitting image of Mandy. It made me think of why that would be.

"What if Tabatha isn't Tia's mom? What if Mandy is her mom?' I asked, and everyone looked at me.

"Then why would she be with Tabatha?"

"I don't know, but she might have taken her from Mandy. Abby said they look nothing alike, and I don't think it is a coincidence that Tia looks like Mandy," I said, and they all looked at me.

"You may be right," Keith said 

"We need to find Mandy."
