Ebony's POV

Rachel was someone that had hated me since grade school. She was an even bigger bully to me than Keith was. She always told me that I was nothing but a waste of space and that if it were up to her she would get rid of me. I was so happy when she left Bloodmoon and moved in with her aunt when we were freshmen. 

The worst thing was Keith and her were like the best of friends. Keith and Mark always hung out with her, and I knew she had a big crush on Keith. I could hear her telling her friends that she would one day be his Luna. 

"What are you doing here?" Keith asked her. I didn't like that he looked happy to see her.

"My Aunt passed away a few weeks ago and my mom brought me back to Bloodmoon," Rachel said. I was going to kill Kate for not telling me that she was back.

"When did you get back?" Keith asked

"I just got back last night. My parents told me that you invited all the Packs here and I decided to come by and say hi," She said and looked at me. "Hello Ebony," She said to me with a fake smile on her face.

"Hello," I replied

"Do you mind if I spoke to Keith alone? We have a lot of catching up to do," She asked making me want to strangle her. 

Keith wrapped his arms around me and pulled my body close to him. "I don't know if you have heard but Ebony and I are Mates," Keith said. I could tell he didn't like the way she asked me to leave which made me happy. 

"The two of you are Mates?" She asked with fake shock. I was sure that one of her friends would have told her that we were Mates as soon as they found out.

"Yes we are," Keith said 

"Hey Alpha Keith. Can I talk to you for a second?" one of the Pack Warriors asked 

"Sure. I will be back My Love," Keith said looking at me

"Okay," I replied and he kissed me on my cheek before walking away with the warrior

"So the two of you are Mates?" ​Rachel asked

"Yes we are"I replied"

That is a shocker. I remember when he used to bully you. You remember all those horrible names he used to call you?" Rachel asked 

"That is all in the past," I replied. I was getting angry and wanted to beat the shit out of her but decided it would be smarter to keep calm. I didn't want to make a scene in front of all these different Packs. I also didn't want to lose control and use my powers in front of everyone. I knew that wouldn't be good.

"I don't see how you could be okay with having a mate that hates your guts. I have been his best friend for years and have never heard him say a kind word about you," Rachel said. I was ready to jump on her but then I heard someone walk behind us

"Is everything okay? I: I looked behind me and saw Raven standing there.

"Yes, I was just talking to Ebony. We have known each other since we were little," Rachel said 

"That is Luna Ebony and don't forget she will soon be Queen. If I was you I wouldn't disrespect her like you just did," Raven replied and Rahel looked at her nervously. 

"Sorry, My Love. I had to take care of something," Keith said as he walked back to where we were standing. He looked at all of us when he noticed our expressions. "Is everything all right," Keth asked

"Yes, everything is fine Rachel was just leaving, Right Rachel?" Raven asked

"Yes. I should go find my mom," Rachel said and walked away. 

"Are you okay?" Keith asked. I was sure she could feel through our bond that I was not in a good mood. Before I could respond Jacob walked over to us.

"Ebony, come here real quick. I want to introduce you to someone," Jacob said 

"Okay," I replied and walked with Jacob. 

Keith's POV

I watched as Ebony walked away with her father. I could tell she was upset and was sure it was because of Rachel.

"What happened?" I asked Raven.

"You should ask your Mate. I don't want to overstep," She said and I looked at her. 

"Really? You love to overstep. tell me what happened," I said

"I don't know everything that happened but when I walked over I heard Rachel telling Ebony that she would hate to be mated to someone that hates her. She said that you and she were best friends and that you never said anything good about Ebony," Raven said causing me to become pissed. 

"Why would she say that to her? She knows Ebony is my Mate," I said 

"I'm not one hundred percent sure but I think she wants to break the two of you up. I have a feeling that she likes you," Raven said 

"That's crazy," I said 

"Are you sure? Has Rachel ever acted like she likes you or anything?" Raven asked

"She told me once before she left that she liked me but I told her I only saw her as a friend but that was a long time ago. I am sure it was just a harmful crush and she is over it now," I replied

"I don't know, Keith. I think she might still have feelings for you. If I were you I would watch her because she seems sneaky," Raven said 

I wondered if what Raven was saying was true. Did Rachel want to be with me and break Ebony and me up? One thing I knew was that was never going to happen. I needed to talk to Ebony and make sure she was fine. I wanted to break Rachel's neck for causing any type of pain to her. 

 I knew I needed to speak to Rachel and let her know I would not tolerate her disrespecting my Mate.
