Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 100

Jason's POV

"So you are telling me that you put something in my drink to make me believe we were mates?" I asked Cindy. I couldn't believe what she was telling me.

"Yes, I did it when you picked up James from school the night you saw me and thought I was your mate. I am sorry, but Vivian and Beta Jacob told me they would kill my family if I didn't." She said

I couldn't believe what she was telling me. Everything was a lie.

"Did they tell you why?" My father asked

"After I drugged you, Vivian and Beta Jacob introduced me to Cheryl. I don't know everything, but I do know that they said you are a powerful creature. Different from everyone else, but you don't know it. They thought that if I made you believe that we were mates, then I could convince you to join their side," Cindy said

"What are you talking about?" I asked confused

"I don't know, but they said your mother does," She said

I left the room, not wanting to be in the same room as Cindy. I never wanted to see her again for the rest of my life. I wondered if what she told me about my mom was true. Was she hiding something from me? She had hidden the supernatural from James and Rose, so I knew it was possible.

What did Cindy mean when she said I was different from everyone else? All I knew was that I needed to talk to my mom.

Rose's POV

I woke up to strong arms wrapped around me, sending sparks all over my body. I opened my eyes and saw Derek already looking at me. 

"How are you feeling, Flower?" He asked and moved the hairs out of my face

"I am feeling better. I still feel tired, but I am not as weak as I was," I said

After Derek saved me last night and Sally gave me an IV, they told me I could go home, but I needed to rest. Before we went home, Sally did another Ultrasound and said that the babies still looked fine but that I needed to take it easy for the next couple of days. 

"Well, you need to rest and not worry about anything," he said and pulled me closer to him, kissing my hair and inhaling my scent.

"I am sorry," I said, and he looked at me, confused.

"Why are you sorry?" He asked

"Because I went to that stupid club. I don't even know why I went. I guess because everyone said I would never want to be away from you after we are fully mated. Now, look at what happened. Our babies could have died from being stupid," I cried. I couldn't help the tears falling from my eyes.

"Calm down, baby. It's not your fault. You didn't know they would kidnap you," He said soothingly.

"But now we can't have the Ceremonies this weekend," I said

"It is fine. Sally said we could have the Ceremonies in a week. I think we should make it for two to be safe," Derek said

"You're not upset that we have to wait?" I asked

"I'm not going to lie. I was looking forward to finishing the mating process with you, but I can wait to week," Derek replied, and I smiled at him.

"That's what I like to see. That beautiful smile of yours," He said and touched my lips.

"Where are you going?" I asked as he got out of bed

"To make you some breakfast,"

"I am not hungry," I said

"You know you need to eat something," he said and went to the kitchen. He came back with a glass of water.

"Sally said that it is important for you to drink a lot of water to ensure all the wolfbane is out of your system," Derek said and handed me the water.

I drank it, and then he kissed me on the lips passionately. He pulled away hesitantly. I know he wanted more than just a kiss, but Sally told us I couldn't have sexual activity for a week.

"It is going to be hard not to take you every night, Flower," He whispered into my ear, causing me to shiver. 

"I am going to cook you breakfast now," He said and left the room.

Once he was done with breakfast, he came back into our bedroom with a plate of food for both of us. There were pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs. 

"I'm not going to be able to eat all of this," I said

"Just eat what you can," He said, and we began eating.

"DEREK, OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!" I looked at Derek, confused. That was Vivian's voice.

"I thought you said she was locked in a cell," I growled

"She was," he said and went to the door

"How did you get out?" He asked

"Where is that bitch mate of yours?" Vivian said, and then she looked at me

"Don't you dare talk to her, Vivian? I have already mind-linked the guards to take you away," Derek said as he held Vivian's arms, ensuring she couldn't escape.

"You think he loves you. he is going to do you the same way he did every other female," She said 

"Shut up, you bitch," I screamed in that unfamiliar voice. I was angry and wanted to kill her.

I started having a terrible headache, and my whole body started hurting. I was in so much pain that I fell to the ground. It felt like every bone in my body was breaking. I couldn't help but scream from the pain.

The guards had shown up to get Vivian but froze when they saw me. 

"Derek, what is happening?" I asked 

"Everything is alright, Rose; you are shifting. Just stay calm; you are almost done," He said

I was worried because of my babies. Sally said that it could be harmful if I shift while pregnant.

Finally, the pain was gone. I looked over at Vivian and thought about everything that she had done. Vivian hurried up and shifted into her wolf, and I knew she was up to something; and then she attacked me.
