Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 29

Rose's POV

I woke up this morning to an empty bed. Memories of what happened last night came quickly and I started to feel worried. I knew Derek was still mad at me for going to that party. He had barely said anything to me last night before he went to bed.

I couldn't sleep last night. I felt bad for sneaking out but that doesn't mean he should ignore me. If he was upset with me then he needed to communicate with me like an adult.

"Where is Derek?" I wondered as I sat up on my bed. I could hear the water running in the shower. I looked over at the bathroom door and smiled to myself. I jumped out of my bed and went over to the bathroom door. I opened it and looked over at the muscular, sexy man that was in the shower. He had a washcloth and was washing his body with soap.

I started to undress and walked toward him with a smile on my face. He looked up at me and then rinsed the soap off of himself. 

"Can I join you?" I asked him seductively

"No! I'm done, you, it's all yours" He said. He was looking at me in a way I didn't like. I felt like he was rejecting me.

"Derek," I said and he just walked out the bathroom without responding. I looked at the closed door and sighed. I know he is mad but he is taking it too far.

I started washing with soap. After I was clean, I took my towel and wrapped it around me. I brushed my hair and my teeth and then stepped out of the bathroom.

Derek was already dressed and picking up his briefcase. 

"I am going to work," He said to me and walked out the door without waiting for me to respond. I sat there for a while and then heard a knock on the door.

"Come in," I said 

Kayla and Kate walked in with smiles on their faces

"How are the two of you feeling today? I'm surprised you two are up considering the condition you two were in" I said as I sat on my bed

"It doesn't take us long to recover. We are werewolves you know," Kayla said

"Yeah and the both of you were fucked up last night," I said 

"So, we saw Derek on our way up. He seemed upset," Kate said

"Yeah, he is. He won't even talk to me"

"I hate to say it but I told you two it was not a good idea not to ask him," Kayla said

I looked over at her and sighed. 

"Why do I have to ask him permission to go somewhere? He doesn't own me"

"That's true but he is your mate. Alpha's are real possessive and protective over their mates. Did you know he had all the warriors looking for you? Jace said he almost lost it last night." Kayla told me

I felt bad for making him worry. He even saw me in an altercation with one of the pack members. Maybe I was wrong for not telling him. I even snuck out after my mom said I couldn't go.

"I want to talk to him but he won't talk to me," I said annoyed

"If I was you I would go talk to him. He is having a meeting with the warriors on the training field." Kate said

"You know what, that's a good idea! I'm going to go there now and talk to him now." I said and walked out the bedroom door

The training field is about a ten-minute walk from the Pack House. I used that time to think of what I wanted to say to him. I wanted to apologize to him for making him worry about me. I knew I was wrong for not letting him know I wouldn't be home last night. 

I also wanted to let him know I felt he was wrong for not talking to me. We needed to be able to communicate with each other. If he was upset then he should told me. He was acting childish by ignoring me and I didn't like that side of him.

As I walked up to the training field, I saw Derek talking to Vivian. She had her hand on his chest, while the other was caressing his cheek. She was looking up at him smiling. I didn't know what they were talking about but I didn't like the position they were in.

I could feel myself getting upset at the sight in front of me. He didn't even move away from her touch. 

I could feel the same energy in my body that I felt that day at school. I knew it was my power. The weather started to change from a beautiful sunny day to a thunderstorm. The clouds came and then the lightning and thunder. 

I lifted my hands and let my powers leave my body, making Vivian levitate. Derek looked at her confused. Then looked over at me. He stared at me for a moment and then realized what was going on.

"Rose it isn't what it looked like." He said as he started walking over to me.

"Oh really! So I didn't just see you and Vivian in what seemed like an intimate position."

"No Flower, that's not what was happening, please just let me explain." 

"So now you want to talk to me. You were just ignoring me and when I came to apologize to you. I find you with your ex." I screamed 

Right then I felt a large amount of magic leave my body, sending everyone in the training field to the ground hard. Derek looked up at me with a worried expression on his face.

"Baby, please calm down," Derek said

"Why! So I don't hurt your bitch over there." I said looking at Vivian

"What’s going on," I heard my mom say

I turned around and saw my mom and Max looking at me. They both looked worried.

"Her eyes are green Lilly," Max said

"Yeah! They turn that color when she calls upon her magic." My mom answered 

She walked over slowly

"Rose, listen to me, sweetie. You need to calm down and relax." My mom said to me in a soft voice

I closed my eyes and breathed in and out a few times. The weather started to calm and the sun came back out. 

My mom looked at me and smiled

"Good job sweetie," She said with a soft smile

I looked over to see Derek coming toward me

"Flower I" He started

I could feel the power coming back and the weather started to change.

"Not right now Derek." My mom said and Derek took a step back

I closed my eyes again to calm down and the clouds started to disappear and the sun came out again.

My mom looked at me then at Derek. 

"What's going on," She asked staring at Derek

I could see all the pack fighters starting to stand up. They were looking at me with a look of concern. They were scared of me. I looked at Vivian and saw her coming toward us. I was so overwhelmed that I didn't know what to do

I just started running away from the scene. I could hear Derek and my mom screaming my name but I didn't respond. I didn't know where I was going but I knew I was getting away from them.
